Primavera Systems Inc. originally asked the author to write this book and this publication is ideal for people who would like to gain an understanding of how the software operates up to an intermediate level. It covers Primavera Versions from 3.5 to 7 and it explains some of the differences from SureTrak, P3, Microsoft Project and Asta Powerproject to assist people converting form other products. The book is designed to teach planners and schedulers in any industry how to setup and use the software in a project environment. Another Great Book by Paul
Paul has done it again with this book. When moving from P3 to P6, you need training or this book. Paul does a nice job of explaining things for an end user in a practical way. This is my 3rd or 4th Primavera book of his I have purchased and I look forward to others when they are available. He also answers his own email ... That is great! You can download the workshop xer files from his website. Bottom line ... If you are looking for a P6 book with practical and useful information, you have found it right here.

GOOD PRIMAVERA REFERENCE BOOK
As usual, Paul E. Harris does an excellent job in presenting step-by-step training/reference information. I wish that the illustrations had been in color instead of black & white.

Not a week goes by where I do not reference this book.....it is a great help when discussing Primavera with users familiar with Project.

An invaluable asset in the utilisation of the software
As a self-taught scheduler user, I purchased several of Paul E Harris' book in order to enhance my skills with the software. His books have become an invaluable asset in my day to day learning and utilisation of the software. In particular I like the extremely detailed index at the back of the books that provide a quick method of searching for topics that I am having difficulty with as well as listing all the related topics. I have not come across this detailed indexing in any other book I have used. I have also found that the workshops with answers though out the book are a practical way to ensure that I am operating the software correctly. I highly recommend the purchase of this or any of Paul E Harris' books for the purposes of learning how to use planning and scheduling software.

The only book you will need to enable you to start project planning in Primavera, all is clearly explained and has examples that are used on official training courses.

With this book, you dont need any explanation, it teaches you everything you need to know. Would recommend to all lovers of primevera.

Handy to use after your training course
I used this before my training course and haven't used P6 before. It is not that great in explaining the premise of P6, how the database fits together and what you can and can't delete for starters, it wasn't until I did the training course that I got to grips with the P6 environment. But this book is handy once you've done the course for reference and refreshing your memory.
