A Must-Have if your Kid Loves Tornadoes.
My son’s recently gotten really into tornadoes. He saw me watch the Twisters trailer and he jumped head first into the rabbit hole of what tornadoes are. While I’m trying to teach him that a tornado is a force of nature, I wanted to get him something that I know he’d love in his quest to better understand them. To put it simply, you spin this cylinder and it creates a mini foam tornado inside it. The effect doesn’t last long at all, but it’s enough that my kid becomes mesmerized by it. There’s details on the side that describe the different intensities of a tornado on the Enhanced Fujita scale. It’s a neat little teaching tool. All-in-all, for the price paid, it was worth it to see the wonder in my son’s eyes seeing it and wanting to learn more about it. He carries it everywhere we go now.

Save your money
There was a tiny leak, very tiny upon arrival. It was more like a snow globe than a tornado; it did not function as advertised. It was not worth the money, nor worth my time to send back. Cheaply made, poor quality.

For the little tornado expert in your life.
My five year old is fascinated with natural disasters (tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes erupting, you get the picture) but tornadoes will always top the list of being the natural disaster that he finds the most interesting. Like most kids at this age, he is extremely curious and wants to know everything about whatever he is interested in. How does a tornado form? Where does it come from? What is it made out of? Yep... he is a tornado expert now. The only thing missing from his life was having a PET TORNADO! Haha... I was really pleased to find this on Amazon and purchased it with realistic expectations. My son was thrilled to receive it and we enjoyed reading the information on the back. Then came creating the actual tornado. When it arrived it had plenty of the foamy bubbles to create some impressive little tornadoes. Of course, you have to "swirl" it to get the tornado effect (because they are rotating columns of air, as my little tornado expert would point out). It's very easy to master the technique, and my son was creating his own tornadoes in no time. My son also found out that in addition to being able to create tornadoes with this, you can also create hurricanes by doing a shaking and swirling combination lol. After the first day, when he slept with it safely placed on his headboard, we noticed the next morning that the foam had settled a good bit. Turns out all you have to do is shake it and they come right back, so it looks like after having it for 9 days now that there isn't a danger of the foam disappearing permanently. I'll update if it does, but so far as good. For the price this really is a neat gift to a child, especially to one who loves natural disasters.

Thin, brittle plastic. Broken and empty upon opening.
I collected this early in the season for a Christmas present, left it in the manufacturer’s packaging until it was time to wrap everything, only to find that it was broken and empty. 🤷♀️ Return window closed over a month ago, so I’ve got a nice piece of trash for the landfill. Disappointing.

Cute, my son loved it and once you get the hang of making it work it's fun to watch and count how many times it touches down that's how we rated our tornadoes from the info on the back of real ratings thanks.

This is a very overpriced product. I was at least expecting it to be as big as a large water glass and it is very small... hard to really see the tornado going it's so small. But my nephew just loved it..... recommend googling it and making your own instead!!!
