Highland Sugarworks Jug 100% Maple Syrup, Pure Medium Amber, 32 Ounce

This good maple syrup, in medium amber, the most popular grade. It's from Vermont, which has slightly more stringent standards about maple syrup density. Thus I was surprised that this Highland Sugarworks syrup was weaker than the L.L. Bean syrup I was about to run out of. But reading the label provides a clue to my disappointment. It's labeled "Pure NEW ENGLAND Maple Syrup", as opposed to "Pure VERMONT Maple Syrup". The reverse of the label says "We also purchase syrup from our friends and neighbors". (The L.L. Bean container says "Packed in Vermont".) So I conclude that this is rated on the (weaker) U.S. scale rather than the Vermont scale.It's still good syrup; it just seems a bit "watered-down" compared to what I expected.

Ok so let me start this out by saying I am an avid Costco Maple syrup eater...and getting this was an attempt at something new. I was excited to try it, but disappointed when I did. The flavor is veryyyyy light, almost unnoticeable. I was hoping for a more robust flavor, so I think I'm going to try the dark amber grade A version from Sugarworks. I'd have to agree with a lot of the reviews on here that the syrup wasn't really worth the price, but to each their own. Restating something I readin another review, the syrup isn't from one particular farm, it seemed like a blend from different farms from different states. Who knows, but I wouldn't say it's not worth buying, I'd recommend it to those who like the flavor of really light maple syrup.

The Highland Sugarworks syrup is good but not great. I expected the medium amber syrup to have more flavor than this does. It is more reminiscent of a light amber syrup. Like any natural product, there are many variations so it might just be the batch. It is still good but I prefer a little more Maple flavor!

Highland Sugarworks Maple Syrup, Medium Amber, 32 Ounce Jug My lady and I have long looked for a middle ground between Grade A and Grade B maple syrup, with little success until now. We find Grade A a little too refined and generally prefer the Grade B for its more raw flavor and thicker consistency, but we do like the clarity of Grade A. This maple nectar is the best of both: rich, meady flavor AND the perfect degree of refinement. A perfect blend. Go for it.

Tastes great! We had been buying Costco syrup (Grade A medium amber) for years but noticed that the syrup they're offering now is Grade A, dark amber which isn't as good. (You can Google "grades of syrup to read about the differences.) I read review after review on Amazon and finally decided to try this brand, and we are happy. We use it primarily on pancakes, french toast & waffles.

Recently ditched white sugar and started using maple syrup as a sweetener. This works and tastes great. Am going to order another container of it this week. I have a small syrup container that I fill so I don't have to lug the jug in and out of the fridge but if you do just use the jug it is no big deal. easy to pour.

My husband uses maple syrup by the gallon. He just loves the stuff, and he said this syrup was much better than what he had been buying. I have not tasted it yet but if he likes it I am sure that you will too.

This syrup is very delicious - my husband loves it. It is a thinner syrup and the opening is very large so you have to be very careful when pouring it. I will purchase this again.
