Affordable, comfortable, durable
I have these brake levers on three of my bikes, and they are really great! You definitely will not find a better set of aero brake levers compatible with cantilevers or caliper brakes for $20-25.Like all Tektro products, it is clear that these levers are built to last out of solid materials. Installation was a breeze and these are perfect for commuter or touring bikes when set up with downtube or bar-end shifters, or even single-speed or fixed gear. The hoods on these levers are extremely comfortable to the touch, and it is clear that the ergonomic design is well-shaped for comfortable hand positions.Since they are aero-style levers, the cables route under bar tape for a clean look and they have better mechanical advantage than their non-aero counterparts. I have these set up with Tektro R539 caliper brakes, Tektro Oryx cantilever brakes, and Avid BB7 Road disc brakes. All of these setups are perfect. The levers are listed as 320 grams/pair, and my +/- 1-gram kitchen scale shows them to be 323 grams for the set. They also have a quick release feature built into the lever to give you extra room when removing a tire, but I have never needed to use it. If you are a woman or have small hands, you may want to consider the Tektro RL341 Ergo Brake Levers because they have a shorter reach than this pair. I am a 6' 1" guy, and these RL340s work pretty great for me.Note: If you are running V-brakes (linear-pull brakes) or mountain disc brakes you will need the Tektro RL520s instead of these!

Fine levers with a strange ergo bend -- OK for drops, not so much for other bars.
These are Tektro copies of some Cane Creek levers many of us love. The levers feel nice, action is smooth, and there's a return spring and a button adjustment that can be set to alter the lever's return stop point. These are similar to the Tektro R100/R200, but they've got a weird lateral bend in the lever that nominally makes them easer to grab when in the drops. I've not concluded whether that's true on my wife's drop bars, but I've tried these and the RL341s on my mustache bars and Origin8 Gary II Bar and the levers end up weirdly aligned with the bar. I suppose the conclusion is that they're OK for vertical use (on drop bars) but strange and less comfortable on more horizontal bars.

Great levers for the money
Bought these to replace the original levers on my 85 Raleigh Wyoming. They are solid levers and work great. Not exactly the lightest levers but thats not what I was looking or paying for.Solid ergo design for cheap

Nice levers
Nice set of levers to upgrade to if you need more room on the hoods than the older styles. The contoured levers make braking easier too.

Replace the brakes on your vintage road bike with these.
There's a guy on YouTube named shyflirt1 who will walk you through the whole installation process (search installing Tektro ergo levers). Get 2 new stainless cables and 6 feet of good brake housing with the Teflon for about $20. I was told by a bike pro you don't need metal ferrules on the cable ends. I like these so much I may go ahead and replace the brakes too.
