I installed the transition between the hall and the bathroom. We just had the floor installed with a tile, while the hall still has the carpet (or however you called a fur floor). The transition makes it looks really good! The only issue is that the transition is too long, but I'm glad we have a metal cutting tool and I cut the metal to the length I want, so it is all good! Highly recommend!

We recently replaced all of the old carpet in our house with engineered hardwood and we needed a few transition strips where the wood met our existing tiled rooms. These silver-like aluminum transition strips look great against our cream color tiles and dark hardwood stain. Since they are aluminum, a standard miter saw blade cuts them easily. Make sure to pre-drill the nail holes into your existing floor or subfloor before nailing down the strips: if you don’t pre-drill, you may dent the transition strips with forceful hammering. My only complaint is that some of the 9 strips I received had minor marring that looked like birthmarks. Luckily, I was able to cut most of them off at the ends, but if the marks were in the middle, they would have been unavoidable.

Esay installation

This is a very attractively finished threshold I installed on the concrete slab for the doorway between my workshop and my garage. I would have preferred the same threshold 1/8" higher and 1/4" wider, but one like that isn't available. My doorway threshold opening is 31" so I first cut off a couple of inches on each end to get a precise fit (I used a radial arm saw, but a hacksaw would have done as well). To install it, I used the smallest diameter masonry bit I have to drill holes matching the pre-drilled holes in the threshold, deep enough for the spiral round head nails supplied with the threshold. I drove plastic anchors into the holes I had drilled into the slab, then simply nailed the threshold down, very securely I might add due to the spiral on the nails. The result was exactly what I hoped for. The threshold is affixed tightly to the slab and looks great.

I chose this product because it wasn't bright brass or silver that wouldn't match everything else. This fit great between the kitchen and the utility room. Easy to install - came with the nails that match the coloring nicely! I cut a few inches off it but knew I'd have to when I placed the order. No problem to cut to size and no burrs left at the cut end. The holes for the nails to secure it are spaced close enough together that it lays perfectly flat once installed. Highly recommend, good quality at an affordable price & quick shipping, too.

Nice item spoiled a little by not having brass matching screws (steel supplied). luckily I have brass screws to match!

Although it was a nice, low profile, it didn't quite fit at my door threshold (my door is sooo low). But, it came in very good condition, looked nice, and would have been perfect!

Cut to fit worked well

This item is exactly as described. Well made. Unfortunately I was not able to use it and had to return. I would purchase from them again.
