Excellent aluminum construction. Thumbscrews press against a metal band that spans 355 degrees, thus your eyepiece barrel will not get scratched. If you want, you can rotate the metal band so that the thumbscrew engages your eyepiece's safety grove. The 0.965" end is all 0.965", with no safety groove to engage your telescopes thumbscrew. I was stuck with a reflector that accepted .965 diameter lenses. Problem not to many .965 lenses available. I searched the internet for an adapter and settle on this one. Took out my calipers and took some measurement. The 1.25 and .965 diameters were dead on. There was no wiggle in my reflector or when I used 1.25 lenses as I have seen on other set-ups and lower quality equipment.

This is an excellent piece of equipment, very precise dimensions and beautifully machined! And at a very reasonable price! I am thrilled with this item!

Good build. It's a solid peice but it did not work for my scope. I did not dock it stars because if it did work I would love it but my scope just didn't have the correct focal length. So if you do purchase it just be aware that it may not work.

Pushed the focus too far for my scope to get a clear image. Great build if it works for your scope.
