The perfect pen
I've tried a ton of different pens with different line thicknesses and ink types, but this is by far my most favorite pen. I've been using these for four years in college now, and I would be extremely hard pressed to give them up.I write small and I sometimes have a hard time deciphering what I've written if the line thickness is too high. I also don't like pens or pencils that leave a light mark when used. These, because they're liquid ink, leave marks that are of standard heaviness and darkness. In general, unless the paper is super cheap, you don't have to worry about bleeding through unless you've accidentally left the tip of the pen against the paper for a few moments. I use general lined notebooks, write on both sides of the page, and don't have problems with bleedthrough.I especially like the color pack because they offer a variety of shades that aren't too crazy. I color-code my notes because it helps me remember things better, so it's nice to have different colors at my disposal. I also do a lot of grading, so I always need a red pen.I hand-write notes for all of my classes, write notes for my tutoring students, and often hand-write small assignments or drafts. In general, a pack will get me through just about a school year. However, with the addition of the tons of writing I was doing for tutoring, I managed only to get through this past semester before having to buy another pack. Still, when I consider how often they were used, it's not a bother. Are there other pens out there that are better? Maybe. It's hard to imagine getting jazzed up about a pen, but when you consider availability (Amazon Prime), price point, and attributes of the pen, I really think that this is the highest value proposition of virtually any other pen you can find in the office supply market. I've tried a ton of gel, ink, and ballpoint pens and have always returned to these. No other pen comes close.

The Best Pens Ever - Now In Color!
I conducted a Great Pen Review a few months ago, in which I purchased a 12-pack of the following 0.5mm pens and distributed them to friends and family for evaluation:Pilot Precise V5 Stick Rolling Ball Pen, Micro Point, 0.5 mm, Black Barrel/Ink (35334), 12-CountPentel EnerGel Liquid Gel Pen, Fine Needle Tip, Blue Barrel, Black Ink, Box of 12 (BLN15-A)Pilot G2 Retractable Gel Ink Roller Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point, Clear Barrel, Black Ink, 12-Count (31002)uni-ball 207 Retractable Micro Point Gel Pens, 12 Black Ink Pens(61255)Sharpie Pen Fine Point Pen, 12 Black Pens (1742663)The overall favorites were definitely the V5 and the EnerGel. The EnerGel was generally preferred by those who liked a higher ink flowrate, while the V5 was preferred by those who liked a lower flowrate. First impressions of the Uniball 207 were quite good, but occasionally these pens drew the ire of my reviewers when they stopped writing seemingly randomly with large volumes of ink still remaining. The Sharpie pen, while better than expected, feels like a marker (because it is) and doesn't have wide appeal. The Pilot G2 was scratchy and terrible all-around; this appears to be a problem with the 0.5mm tip size, as I have heard great things about the G2 0.7mm.My favorite by far was the Precise V5. I do a lot of editing on printed documents, so I immediately began looking for colored V5's and came across this product. The colors are bold and haven't lost any of their brightness a month after writing. The purple and green especially are rather unusual and have excellent contrast with black, and I have really enjoyed editing with them.In short, these colored pens are just as good as the black ones. Believe the positive reviews! You will not be disappointed, but buy extras - people love to steal these things.

Quick delivery perfect product
I needed these penne for my class and they arrived way quicker than expected. They write beautifully and are solid gel ink that does not smear. They are a perfect fit for my accounting class. They were not expensive compared to stores as you get more for what you pay for.

Not perfect, but I still love these pens and am buying more
I bought these pens a little more than 3 months ago and use them daily at work. I got them specifically for the extra fine tip and bold colors since I work as an accountant and note statements with small text. Since I use them for this purpose (writing a small sequence of numbers at a time) they've probably lasted much longer than they would've had I used them for longer notes. Even still, I'm finding that my most frequently used pen is started to fade when writing despite appearing to have 2/3 ink left. They also do not appear as fine as I'd like for very tiny writing since they have a liquid-like disbursement. Finally, the pen I use most (pink) seems to leak slightly leaving a pretty pink stain where it rests on my finger.Nevertheless, these faults are fairly minute in my experience, and I return now to order another set. They write clean, don't bleed if you avoid too much pressure, don't smear, and (thusfar) don't appear to dryout.TL;DR- fine point but less than expected- don't smear- write clean- bold colors- don't dryout- wish they lasted longer (starting to fade a bit after 3mos light usage)- possible leakageConclusion: Not perfect but does the job for me. Buying a second set.
