Beautiful color for signing important docs!
My first foray into fountain pens and this is the ink I chose for it. The color is a wonderful blue-black that is perfect for signing contracts and other important docs. After considerable research, this ink ticked all the boxes for me and I couldn't be happier!I'm a lefty, and this is touted as being especially quick drying. I can say from my experience that it is certainly true. I haven't stained my hand even once thus far. (I'm an overhand writer.) The ink flows smoothly and sets quickly.I'm now a fan of Noodler's Ink and will look at getting another pen to play with different colors. This first pen will live with only this ink in it for its entire life.

So much to love about this beauty of a find.
So much to love about this ink! So I'll start with the actually ink itself: 1. The color is spectacular. Blue is my favorite color but not any blue will do. It is not those flashy, bright, overkill, bright, dance recital color blue but rather a dark denim, matte tinge blue. A blue that if I were to purchase this color dress, I would not have an issue matching it with other accessories. 2. What's not to like about a permanent ink in today's day and age with so much theft and deception going on. I did not know that regular pen ink could be washed away until recently which is one of the reasons I went on a search for a permanent ink. 3. Archival ink. I again did not know anything about archival quality until I started a few decades ago working on my ancestry and saw how ink could fade. 4. It is a good size bottle of ink. Will last me a while which is very important. NOW... the most exciting about this bottle of ink. It is made in good old New England! And so we get to support a fellow New Englander. So far I know for sure that my family is and always has been a true New Englander... residing in New England through many a war... including the Revolutionary War. And I will even go so far to say that even the box it came in is interesting. Not sure if the boxes are all the same but mine had cute little decorated pictures on it and had a fish. If you are a New Englander and have ever been Striped Bass fishing, you just know what I mean. Now they have forced me to have to go look up this regiment and learn more about it. And who knows, maybe I'll find one of my relatives served in it.

Good waterproof Blue-black ink
I received the item I was expecting to receive as indicated on the label. Be forewarned, Noodlers Ink fills the bottles to the very top. Before opening, place on paper with a paper towel on top to help catch absorb any spills. The did overflow when filling a fountain pen due to the displacement. The label got messed up. Ink on hands. The ink cleaned up well when I addressed it immediately. Don't care to find out what happens if I wait. The ink worked as expected. It is extremely water resistant. I have not tested the forgery resistance. I will take Noodler at its word. The ink kept up with my writing speed while using a LAMY Extra Fine Steel Nib. The black/blue color of the ink which drys to be more of a blue-grey color will allow me to sign legal documents with a fountain without the worry of my signature being washed off. FYI, some folks have started to request a color other than black when signing documents, so a distinction can be made when scanning and sending. The dry time for the ink is relatively quick. 5 seconds Rhodia. 7 seconds on generic. I washed up The ink flows well and keeps up while writing with a LAMY extra fine steel nib. For a waterproof ink, this is a good sign. I bought this ink to have something that is water resistant and more permanent than many fountain pen inks, of which 80 % or more will wash away. The color contrasts fine with Black. I recommend this ink for those wishing to use a more waterproof ink.

Beautiful Color but use it in a pen you use frequently.
This is a great, traditional blue. I like the water resistance, haven't had it long enough to test durability, but I trust Noodler's ratings. This formulation will dry out in pens that don't see use every few days, so I recommend it for frequent use. OK in a fine nib. When it dries, I find that dipping the nib in a few drops of water is all it takes to get things flowing again, have not had to go through major cleaning. Watch your fingers, unless you plan to audition for the Blue Man Group.

Beautiful ink!
This ink is such a pretty color and it writes beautifully! It is not too light when used with a fine nib and it's depth is demonstrated really well with a medium nib!! I have not had any issues with bleeding and feathering yet, but I will update this review once I've tried it on printer paper! I have had no issues with smudging as well! ***UPDATE*** No issues with printer paper at all!!! I also did a small test with water and this ink did really well! Only some very minor bleeding but it is still very clearly legible!!! I'm very impressed!!!
