Product: SENSATIONAL AND WORTH EVERY PENNY! Packaging .... not quite as much ...
I use peanut oil to cook Chinese-style food. I would NOT call myself a true Chinese cook. I always prefer to cook in peanut oil. I have learned that ROASTED peanut oil is superior. And a peanut oil that SMELLS like peanuts is the best. La Tourangelle Roasted Peanut Oil is DELICIOUS and worth every penny, and buying it in this container takes a pricy base product and makes it economical. Literally the ONLY problem with this is that the packaging kinda sucks. When I got this box - having used the tins before - I opened the little cardboard opening and ... no spout. Rummaged all around carefully so as not to break the plastic. No spout. Finally I had to open up the box at the top and pull the whole damn thing out and there it was: at completely the WRONG side of the box. Useless. And heavy as heck. I managed to get the bag back into the box facing the right way ... and then pulled the spout out of the opening. Only it was utterly twisted and could not be used!! I trued to turn it gently, but nope. So I came here and read the visual instructions and I was right how it SHOULD work ... so I grabbed the black part of the spout took a breath and TWISTED HARDER. CAREFULLY. And it turned! I then wrangled it back in neatly and closed the cardboard, then pulling off the part of the red bit MEANT to be pulled off, pressed the THREE red bits to be pressed and a nice smooth stream of oil came out! Yumm!. But the box is now a mess and you HAVE to keep it in the box to use it. GRRRRR. So BE AWARE if you run into an absentee spout problem of what to do.The BEST oil; the WORST box!!!

Great high temp oil
This is an awesome sear oil for high heat cooking. We find that we enjoy the flavor of peanut oil to be much better than avocado when searing things like steaks.

La Tourangelle’s Sweet Almond Oil
I’ve been using La Tourangelle’s Sweet Almond Oil for a while now, and it has truly become a staple in both my kitchen and skincare routine. This oil offers the perfect blend of versatility and quality. It’s expeller-pressed, staying true to La Tourangelle’s French heritage, and you can really taste and feel the difference in its smooth, rich texture. In the kitchen, this almond oil adds a subtle nutty flavor to my dishes without being overpowering. I’ve used it for sautéing veggies, drizzling over salads, and even in baking—it never disappoints. What I love most is that it’s not just tasty but also nutrient-rich, packed with healthy fats that make me feel good about what I’m eating. For body care, it’s equally impressive. I use it as a moisturizer for my skin, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated without any greasy residue. It also works wonders as a base oil for DIY scrubs and hair masks. Knowing it’s all-natural and made in California gives me peace of mind about the quality I’m getting. If you’re looking for a product that seamlessly bridges the gap between cooking and self-care, La Tourangelle’s Sweet Almond Oil is it. Good product
I bought this for my Chef spouse who made me some yummy sesame tofu with it. Now my rating is second hand for I was not the one who cooked with it. He said it was great ratio to price, and it has great flavor. We will definitely repurchase.
