You can rotate the white tab to select the key. If you have F# selected, for example, and you blow through the pipe, you'll hear an F#.

Q: Can you take the white thing off without damaging it?

Yes. Just use a set of pliers to loosen the nut and remove, being careful not to get the note markers out of line. Retighten. If you a search for the MK2, you can find the original without the “white thing”.

Q: How would i set it for "middle c"? is that the squiggly line between the two cs?

There is One hole for middle C and One hole for High C. Just use each as needed.
