I only bought this as a spare. I did test with 12 volts and the pump did operate. I can not tell if it will work under real world condition for the Onan 5500 generator. I see no reason why it should not. It is a perfect match to the OEM pump.

The bracket mount was about a half inch away from where the old one was , made mounting very difficult.

The pump specs fit the requirements as far as pressure and electric plugs but the bracket that is part of the housing is not located in the right spot and will not allow the pump nipple to extend through the hole that allows the fuel line to pass through to the carburetor. I'm not going to return it because I don't have the time. I will hog out the holes in the pump bracket to allow proper alignment of the nipple. This is a lot of extra work that I should not have to do.

The product works well but is very noisy. I can hear the fuel pump over the generator. It is about a quarter of an inch shorter than the original Cummins pump. So I had to make some modifications to mount it up under my fifth wheel. Besides that it works.Update. Only got about 10 hrs out of this piece of s***! Don't buy!n
