jeff bridges is good at everything he does even musicthis cd is as good if not better then any other music of this stylethe style is kinda bluesy soft rock country id compare him to lyle lovett[who i also enjoy and im only 18 years old imagine that]jeffs cd has it all acoustic electric guitars horns piano and even pedal steel guitars wich i loveim probly one of the biggest jeff bridges marcs around [i even liked the king kong remake] and if your not a jeff fan id suggest previewing this cd firstif your a big dude fan buy this asap cuz it rulesthink a mix between bob dylan, lyle lovett, solo george harrison, and the dude ,and thats what you getdude abides............

This is my least favorite of the 3 Jeff Bridges CDs I have. Mr. Bridges was young when this was crafted and he comes across as robotic and almost monotone in his singing. I am not a fan of Michael McDonald and in one song his backup vocals overshadow Bridges's singing. It has some good songs and I listed to it but the others are much better.

The first Track on this album "movin'" was by far my favorite. The album has a multi-genre vibe some rock,funk,blues,reggae, and country... I have listen to it multiple times as I have an expanded outlook on music Exploration, I find it harder to introduce it to other people as they tend to want a particular sound that screams "I listen to radio way to much to listen to anything non-genericly spoonfed. I find it with all my music though, Bob Marley, Stevie Ray, Trevor Hall Most Radio Head and psybient... So if you like to travel in Sounds to please the Eclectic being that is in us all but to many are afraid to admit it, this is the album for you :)

I love Jeff Bridges, so I'm biased, but this CD is great listening music. Michael McDonald comes through loud and clear and like a wine, you hear undertones of Eric Clapton and Neil Young! Interesting! Make more music, but please, keep making movies Jeff!

Jeff does an excellent job of singing and to me he is right up there with the new country and western males stars. He should beproud to be an American movie star and also a great singer.

Excellent CD! It's great for 'background' music; for when you just get home from work and not sure what to listen to, it's got a great combination of all kinds of music. Most people can't believe it's Jeff Bridges! Very impressive! Help make it a best seller!

I bought this album after watching him in the movie Crazy Heart.Unlike other actors turned singer Bridges actually delivers a great sounding cd. Its along the lines of the Outlaw country music of the 70s and 80s and would make a great edition to anyones cd collection.
