A great book!
Steve Pace as always does such a wonderful job of covering his subject. I learned a great deal about this airplane that my father loved and he felt, saved many lives. And I learned a great deal about the missions and groups from Steve's wonderful explanations. The photos are terrific. For anyone trying to understand their father's participation in the Usaaf MTO this is a must read.Thank you Steve.

What I liked about this book
"B-25 Mitchell Units of the MTO" was both helpful as a historical work and useful in the information I wanted to build 2 1/48 scale models of the B 25, one a "C" used in N.Africa in 1943/44, the other an "H," used in India. The aircraft modelled were members of the 12th Bomb Group, 12th Air Force that operated from bases in Tunisia and Libya, then later, in India. The development of the type is seen in the bomber's adaptability to its various roles, thus the book gives great support to the Mitchell being versatile and effective in low altitude interdiction as well as level bombing. The B 25 was a workhorse and proved itself by its effectiveness and survivability as an important weapon system, which is well detailed in this book.

B-25 Mitchell Units of the MTO
Fantastic book! It covers the B-25's role in the Mediterranean Theater of WW ll, from Africa to the Alps. Tells of the heroics of the bomber crews and also the tragedies of the these servicemen. I found fascinating information about my dads bomb group and squadron during the war. I have read it several times and still find it captivating and exciting.

Yossarian's Theatre
This book is, so far (I haven't finished it yet), a very thorough, concise history of the activities of B-25 units around the Mediterranean during WWII. Coupled with other resources online, it helps fill out the overall picture of what the fictional Yossarian and his very real creator Joseph Heller did during the war - this book isn't a counterpoint or refutation of "Catch-22", it provides history and background. It describes what the very young LT Heller and his fellow airmen were up to (and up against) back when he fulfilled his quota of missions...

B-25 Mitchell
I have a B-17 book that lists the crews of each plane and what happened to the plane and crew. I thought this might be similar to that book, but it isn't. That comment aside, the book does describe B25 missions and their importance. The book provides depictions of tail markings and some nose art.

good book
I bought this book as a gift. My brother-in-law really liked the book. He got so busy reading the book he stopped opening his Christmas presents. He was really pleased.

Excellent research piece
If you want to know about B-25's in the MTO this is an excellent place to start. The color plates are partticularly excellent for modelers. My only complaint (if I really had a complaint) would be there are not enough color plates of the 41 and 42 series B-25's because that is what I am looking for because that is what my father flew. Otherwise loved it.
