Well, I had it for at most 2 minutes right out of the Amazon box; only for my brother to take it out of my hands and huck it 40ft in the air! That sucker ripped through the air in 2 directions, upwards and across my countryside town. By now it's probably adapted to the environment and is hunting for it's own survival. Needless to say, it goes and it goes far! I guess the Infrared trackers loss location of the ground at around 30 ft. It's the equivalent of my new dog running from me as soon as I let him off the leash, only to see the dog run across 20 acres of land. To this day I still can't find my drone and just like the saying, drones come and go, or is it love comes and goes.

My 6 year old was so excited to receive this from Santa Claus. He had so much fun watching it fly around the room. His younger brother was not a fan of the noise but thought it was funny when it would blow his hair if it came near him. We got a whopping 8 minutes of play time on each battery. Despite recharging the batteries for over 45 minutes the drone will no longer turn on. Needless to say my son is extremely disappointed. Santa is also frustrated at the money it cost for 16 minutes of lifetime.Pros: for when it worked...easy to operate.Cons:- Stopped working and won't recharge- Short battery life (noted in directions), batteries should charge in 45 minutes for 6-8 minutes of play timeNote: Not sure why the description shows pictures of using this outside. You'd run the risk of not being able to retrieve it since the sensors would not detect an obstacle to bring it back down. Inside use only.

Bought 2 but neither worked even with fully charged batteries. Not appropriate for kids under 13. Much too difficult to install batteries even for an adult. Also very fragile. Great idea but construction and quality is very poor. I returned both. Would like to find a better one even if twice the price.

I bought this item thinking it would be ok for children 6 and older as written in explanation but box says 14yrs? this toy is too delicate when attaching the lithium batteries. It would be too easy to break a wire ruining it. the flight time is listed as only 5 mins per 40 min charge. It does not come with a usb plug to put in outlet so must be connected to a direct usb outlet. In all fairness, I returned the item without charging and trying because I felt it would break too easily when connecting the battery to the unit. It wasn't worth it in my opinion.

The instructions weren't clear about a very important detail. After you turn the switch to on, the propellers do NOT start. You have to throw it into the air and THEN the propellers will start, if you throw it right that is. I returned the first one because I thought it was defective. It wasn't. It was, however, a huge hit at a 10 year old's birthday party, other than the fact that when I tried to demonstrate how to throw it, it did not start and hit another mother in the face across the room. Thank goodness it is so light weight and flexible!
