Really needed this for all my files, its easy to use and cuts the paper easily, previous one would slant or leave holes uncut, so this one is excellent, no problems, recommend it

Given that this machine is a lot cheaper than some available, it does the job intended, but don't expect miracles. The way of lining up the paper to be punched is not 100% reliable - some pages can slip and if they do, the holes (or rather the slots) can end up misaligned. I found that if you limit the pages to around 2 or 3 per punch stroke (using 80gsm paper) and take care with the line-up, it does the job. The instruction leaflet suggests punching card or film (for the covers) with a sheet of paper taped to front and back. This is a good idea, though we got away with simply placing the paper either side without tape. We then trimmed the paper for the next run. The other thing we found was that a small number of the 100 spines included were not trimmed quite right and stuck out a few mm beyond the binding forks. This is easily corrected with a pair of scissors. So far, we have bound 25 sets of covers and inserts (12 sheets per cover) and the machine is OK. No idea how long the machine will last.

Super binder, have designed and printed our own calendars and used this to bind them all, it has worked great. Simple to operate, i have included a time lapsed video of me binding a calendar, we used really thick card so I punched the holes per sheet as I did not want to ruin the printing we had done. This is a meaty machine and did it all well, highly recommend. My 17 year old son loves doing wildlife photography and each year we go online and design calendars for the family with his photos taken throughout the year, we have previously used online companies to design the calendar and pay for them to print them but it works out over £20 per calendar and we do it every year so this year we decided to give it a go making them all ourselves and this was a key part of the success and a money saver in the long run.

I just got this machine, no instructions, so had to google/youtube it. Got it work, punched 68 pages ok although as others said, only 4-5 pages can be done at once which is annoying. Then wanted to punch clear PVC covers that I got to cover my document, only to find out that the machine can't cope. It does go through it but you hear it's not happy, it gets stuck on it, you pull the clear pvc cover out and see that the punched pieces are still hanging on the holes. Not good, as they are plastic, they tear when you try to separate them from the hole. Very sad that I now have to return this and look for a new machine, I really needed this on time. Big let down.

This book binding machine is excellent! and so easy to use. So far I have made around 10 books with no problems whatsoever. using the combs that came with it, I have made both A4 and A5 books (by just cutting the combs down to size to fit the A5 books). The combs that come with it are very small though so I doubt if I'll use 100 of them, and I needed to buy some bigger ones to use for the bigger books so it's a shame it doesn't come with a mixture of different size combs instead of 100 small ones? Anyway, It easily punches the holes in 3 sheets of paper or 2 sheets of card with no problem but more that that and it feels like it is having a little difficulty, but I love it! No more need to get my binding done elsewhere, plus having the machine at home means I can add or remove pages easily myself plus make my own books without waiting (or paying)! Combs are available in lots of sizes and colours and quantities, and are cheap. Add acetate covers front and back or laminated front and back covers, and you have professional looking books. Very highly recommended! However, it is what it is. It doesn't fold away neatly after you have used it, it has a big handle sticking up and a line of pointing spikes. So, after you have finished using it, it needs to be stored away in a safe place, away from where children might play +++++

I was a little worried initially, a couple of the combs were bent when I took the unit out of the box, but I was able to bend them back with my hand. Otherwise, I followed the instructions to punch at least 7 sets of holes in the cardboard that came with the unit to remove the manufacturing oil. I did about 10 sets to be safe. I quickly punched and bound a PDF manual I printed off a couple weeks ago using the 19 hole setting for 8.11 x 11 sized paper and voila. Worked perfectly. The density/weight/thickness/composition of the paper will determine how many sheets you can punch. I'd say maybe 10-11 sheets at 20 weight max per punch (to be safe & not break anything) and it goes down from there as the weight increases. You can certainly punch cardstock and 10 mil lamination, I punched 10 mil laminated 40 weight cardstock without issue but you'll be punching one page at a time. The handle is easily removed for storage and the spacing appears equal with the punch and comb. All in all for household and light office/school use this is a fine machine. The housing is plastic but mechanically inside when I took a peek, everything appeared to be metal. So with care and not over exertion, this machine should last. Just to stress, this is not a high capacity, high volume office unit, this is a home/small office/light school use binding machine, it's great for small projects and light/occasional use but if you're going to be putting together dozens of books a day or want to punch 40 or 100 sheets at a time, don't get this. I highly recommend this unit.

I am very happy with this purchase. I had large document to prepare for a client and this has helped me submit a more professional package. It was 7 volumes, the largest volume being in excess of 550 pages. The binder worked very well and was able to handle the largest book without issue. Obviously, I purchased additional suitably sized combs for the larger volume and experienced no issues.
