Stylish, Sturdy, Stealthy
It was on sale for less than half of retail value, $20 for this blade is wild. The sheath is very sturdy and fits onto a belt nicely. I would recommend this knife to anyone.

very nice mini cleaver.
it is very sturdy and durable and exudes quality. it is fairly sharp. i use this successfully to slice off flakes from tobacco plugs. it is a small knife but works perfectly for me in that application. i could think if better wilderness survival knives than this one but if you need a cleaver out in the wilds, unless you want to carry a full size one, this one will do the trick.

Very well made. Beautiful scales.
The pictures online don't do it justice. It's a beautiful piece in person. It's well done in it's entirety. I was surprised at how much better the green scales looked in person. Well worth the price. Even the sheath is well done. It is a shorter handle, 3 fingers for me, but there are definitely several roles it could fill easily.

Novelty or practical?
OK firstly I'm not sure why I bought this. Maybe because I have a thing for cleaver style knifes and thought how cool, its only 28 dollars. Now I wear a large glove with a palm width just over 4'' and the handle is a three finger grip for me and its a bit small in diameter leaving me wanting more to hang onto. It was sharp out of the squashed box, no joke, but after honing it I was able to run the blade slowly threw paper from end to tip. The steel is not the best being 7Cr17MoV but should hold up decently to moderate to light use, its not an ESEE. Its built like a tank but only weighs 3ozs. I'm sure I will find a job for it at the camp site prepping food or whittling sticks. Can't say anything about the durability because I just got it today so time will tell. I can't say if I recommend it because its more of a novelty item then a practical tool but them again this is just my opinion. Fun factor 7.5 practicality 4 to 5, well see lol.

Small, but good.
I bought this after reading, and watching enough stuff to know what I was getting. I'm a big guy, big hands, so I was hesitant knowing it's small. Well, I can say it will work for me......on my fishing boat. Yeah, you could use it in your kitchen, but it's not really that practical. I'll use it for bait, and chopping, as this has a bit of weight to it. The edge was sharp out of the sheath. That sheath isn't worth a hoot, but great for longterm storage. I would find something else if you plan on pulling out this little clever much. For me, not an issue. It will be out all day, until washed, and put away until the next trip. This clever has obviously a bottom blade, with a front scraper. It's not sharp, but will scrap stuff out, or off if needed. Would I buy again......nah. I just wanted one, not needed one. Hope this helps you decide one way or the other. Last bit of info, it's made in China. That's how it's affordable.

Great camp or EDC fixed blade cleaver.
Gerber really got it right with this small, fixed blade cleaver. It’s a fantastic option for camping and can easily be used as an EDC knife of fixed blades are your thing.I’ve used it to prep some ribs and a few other things around the kitchen and I can say I’m pretty impressed. The black coating keeps the blade free from rust and the overall aesthetics of the knife are great. The 7Cr17MoV steel came sharp out of the box and is holding up well. It’s a reliable budget steel that holds up really well for the price and it won’t break your heart if you chip it or have to sharpen it. Blade stock is full tang, weighty and fairly thick. Aluminum handle has great texture and is easy to grip when wet.The sheath is well built, simple and has a sturdy thumb release. Belt loop is a decent size and it sits flush to the body when on a belt. For under $40 it’s a great addition to anyone’s camp, truck, kitchen or EDC gear. I highly recommend it.

Too pretty to use.
Got this at near half price Black Friday, so the price was great. I gots to say this is so well crafted as both sheath & knife that deserves full price. The blade shaves hair. I got it for a lightweight mini-hatchet wood-carving tool, but yeah, not chopped anything with it yet, because still so too pretty to use. I'll need to find something a little scrappier.
