Works very well.
This stuff STINKS even before you open the can so beware where you store it. I saw a review on this and thought I would try it. I do think it works better. I think in the long run it's also cheaper as sprinkling a teaspoon or 2 of powder is all that is needed.

Not just for fire ants!
I have a property in NC that we use for camping, cooking over a fire, etc. Several years ago we started seeing large (3/8-1/2") red ants more and more, to the point where the ground was moving and we couldn't be up there any more, much less take the grand kids. The local exterminator quoted us $500 to make it better for an event with no warranty. I've spent hundreds on sprays and granules with only temporary (maybe a few days) results. Then I tried this disgustingly smelly crap. As others have said, it doesn't take much. A light sprinkle over the 100 sq ft area that was nothing but mounds, and an even lighter sprinkle over areas that just had a lot of ants. I ended up using 2 cans but the ants are completely gone! Even from the piles of wood laying on the ground which I DID NOT treat (we cook over that wood!), there are no ants in the wood pile now! It's no wonder the exterminator didn't mention this stuff, he'd be out of business! Get it now before they outlaw it, because you know they will!

Kills the mound
I have used this product for years. Works great. Just be sure your back is to the wind so powder does not blow on you.

It smells rotten but its effective
In my opinion this stuff really works.. I have never had a full infestation but when neighbors move I see critters come out 🪳 and I don’t play about that they freak me out. started to see babies and a few larger ones in kitchen coming from cracks of baseboard (2-3 little ones and 1 bigger one) I keep it cold year round so the bigger one was kinda slow moving I think due to it being cold. I ordered this because back in 2020 I had a major problem in an old apartment onces next door neighbors moved out and I found this stuff and when i say problem was gone next day! Only thing is it stinks sooo bad and I think I used way too much because the smell took forever to go away, but over time it goes away I now know not to use so much so the smell does not linger. I also use this with diatomaceous earth food grade so that I dont have that rotten smell in hard to reach areas where I cannot get to it to clean it up. Just dust along baseboards and into any and all cracks, then I use diatomaceous earth between stove and wall, under and behind large appliances (again this is because the surrender leaves a hard odor). I have sprinkled surrender and diatomaceous earth into drains kitchen, and bathrooms (not sure if this helps but in my mind it does due to being terrified of anything that crawls). I leave the dust to settle a few days then sweep in to cracks with broom before then mopping to clean up the residue. I use on my patio right before seasons change and sprinkle it along the outside perimeter of my apartment building letting it get into the soil, if it rains I reapply. I know It works because I occasionally see dead beetles outside so I imagine it works and/or repels insects. 4 stars because it stinks! So beware especially if you plan to have company.

Works great my go to
So I actually use this in my apartment due to the fact that pest control pretty much just feeds them. I LOVE IT! No need to have them come in. I just put it around my base boards and leave down. While everyone else around my apartment complains about what they have I just look and smile cause I don't have any issues. It kills spiders roaches whatever it's not only for ants. I don't have to constantly put down I do it maybe every 6 months of that and even when I get ready to put back down I still don't have any critters. I just like to make sure that I don't give them a chance to come in. Yes it does stink and smell like rotten eggs (but to me that's just a little cost in order to not have any bugs at all) just have to open windows and doors if it bothers you for awhile. If you do have pets like me (I have 3) would definitely keep them out of it. I was worried about it when I first put down but my 2 oldest doesn't want anything to do with it. I do have a puppy that has not been around since I have put it down so next time I do will definitely have to teach him not to go around or sniff it. (He is very very adventurous probably going to be the hardest to teach about it) I DO NOT RECOMMEND PUTTING DOWN WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE THOUGH ( haha I know common sense but some people do have to be told)
