Great Glasses!
I bought these due to my optometrist stating that I should get some filtering lenses. Apparently, HEV (high energy violet) light is linked to a decrease in macular pigment. I picked these up on sale, and I have to say they are absolutely awesome! The filtering lenses provide very crisp vision and lessen the strain on your eyes. I work in IT and I game a lot, too. I don't know how I got along without these glasses all these years. Due to the macular pigment issue, I wear them wherever there will be HEV. In this day and age that's everywhere: the sun, computer screens, TVs, fluorescent lights... These help my eyes more than I could have imagined. Get some! The glasses themselves are light and thin. When I took them out of the box, they felt downright flimsy. I thought for sure that I would destroy them within days. I have had them over a year now, and they barely even show any wear. The steel frame is not bent or scratched. The only thing that shows wear is the sleeves on sides (the black portion). Those slide off though, and look like they can be replaced. They also fit my face very well. I have a wide face and they are not tight.

The Gunnar lens technology helps reduce eyestrain and is very nice if you sit in front of a computer for long hours.BUT the SteelSeries Scope frame is pathetically weak and WILL break VERY EASILY. I just got them today and I am very shocked by how flimsy the frame is. It feels like something you would buy at a gas station for less than 5 dollars. I feel like they will break if I just look at them wrong. Also the lenses are very very small. If you are trying Gunnars for the first time (like I am) get a different model. The SteelSeries Scope frame is as thin as a piece of paper. What a joke

Varies depending on the user
2 people tried it in the household with differing results:-Person with 20/20 vision:Definitely helps with eye fatigue and dryness, but other that that no improvements with visual quality aside from slight magnification during initial use where your eyes quickly adjust to it and you never notice it thereafter-Person w/o 20/20 vision:There is some eye-strain for the first day of prolong use as your eyes tries to adjust to the slight magnification and yellow tint. After the initial hurdle it does help with eye dryness, and helps a bit in dealing with eye fatigue but not as drastic as the person with 20/20Do see some visual improvements while gaming, especially in darker video game locations/levels and some items or small environmental items do stick out. Dark brownish green items do stick out more as with small flashes of hidden collectible items-Both:Not for outdoor use. Not advertised as such, but just noting it seeing it does look like sunglasses. It enhances the glare from the sun while driving or jogging so it can be dangerous if you're not careful. I think Gunnar do sell outdoor brands as wellDoes work well with headsets as the product is very light and you don't really feel it is there during extensive useWith the nose piece where it, is lenses appear very close to your face. Saying that, if you have a tendency to itch within the lens area, you have to take the glasses half way or all the way off to do so without risk of smudging the lens with fingerprints or breaking the glasses as the material appears rather delicateEven though it's not all you ask for it's very stylized and may be worth the high price tag if you decided to wear it frequentlyUpdate: Having worn it non-stop for 2 weeks (aside from sleeping), when taken off there is no eye fatigue with extensive exposure to monitor or TV screens. Seems like the Gunnar glasses act like eye braces as it conditions your eye muscles to not go full blast when a heavy light source is present

light, comfortable, and work.
I spend a decent amount of time looking at screens daily. After the first day of using these, I noticed considerably less eye fatigue. I've also got a relatively large head, so tried to find the largest model I could. These fit well, and have a good amount of flex with them. They're also light enough that after many hours I don't have the same pinching/ear pain that I do with sunglasses. The tint is slightly noticeable when you first put them on, but not bothersome, and my eyes/brain acclimate so that I don't notice it after a minute or two. These are my first pair, so I can't compare them against other brands or styles, not sure if they are worth the extra cost, but they do the job for me and I'm not interested in exploring other options.

Major design flaw: cuases headaches and dizziness
One major design flaw with these glasses is that the lenses are not large enough to cover your field of vision. Others have noted this as well; this lack of coverage will manifest as headaches and dizziness if you have normal vision due to the magnification. It is not the magnification itself that is to blame, it is the magnification in conjunction with the undersized lenses. (Placing one's fingers around the borders of the glasses to isolate your view through the lenses is very comfortable and effective, and I can see what all the fuss is about.) If you find a pair of Gunnar's where the lenses are large enough to envelope your field of vision, I would suggest giving them a try. Barring that, be warned.

Excelente producto

The Break your eyes Deserve !!
Ok, been using these for a while . they WORK.i don't know how exactly.. but they do. They give a very Slight magnification which helps, but not enough to bother you at all. My eyes were getting super tired and sore from too much time on computer.. and cell phone.. i even recently was told i need glasses ( but trying bates method instead!)they give a small color change to your viewing.. so things do look different. i am an artist so i do allot of graphic work on computer.. so they are NOT good for that.. unless.. you use them for general stuff .. then peek over them to see colors you are working on .. its difficult that way.but for general gooogle search or reading emails. they are great.. we need to give our eyes breaks! .. i think these are the break that will help.the glasses are durable. and this particular style is not true to the image on here.... here they appear almost clear, they are not they are pure metal white.. i would do more research for style if you are going for that! :-) ... they are VERY white around the glass.. and buying them without trying them is hard to do.. but if your like me and just buying for home use.. no biggie .. who cares what you look like in front of mister Google lol .. but they are STRONG and WELL Made!..I do recommend.!

Could make using a computer over long houres easier for you
These glasses will not be for everyone but to some people they will help over long sessions. They make everything slightly more yellow for the first 5 minuets but after that your eyes will just so you see normally. The yellow tint is to reduce the eye stain from the brightness of your monitor whilst still allowing you to see differences in light levels during times when the monitor is displaying darker colours. They have a slight magnification so you can see what is on the screen a bit better. I find that my eyes get less tired during long gaming sessions when I wear them. They are light weight and comfortable to war whilst wearing large headphones. I would recommend finding a cheaper pair if you are unsure or maybe finding a friend who has some and giving them a go first as it is a large amount of money for something that some people may not like / need / want.

Does everything it claims
I had to spend a bit of time adjusting the nose piece so they rested on my face properly and I was afraid of breaking them, they fit perfectly now and are very comfortable. I don't wear glasses and picked these up do to my working on computer under florescent lights for 10 hours doing spreadsheets etc and then would spend several hours before bed on home computer and playing games etc. I was finding I could play games less and less and would immediately want to just go to sleep because my eyes burned so bad, work became tougher and tougher as the screen became increasingly hostile to me.These glasses have alleviated my eye strain as promised, after 2 weeks of constant use I feel incredible. They provide a sharp high contrast vision, it's amazing when you first clean them and put them on, it's like crystal clear and you see better than without them. Downside is although they do fit comfortably still with my steel series headset, they make me feel like I'm isolated from everything around me a bit too much, almost like at a shooting range.

Gamer's must rig
Firstly I would like to thank Amazon for the competitive pricing.I'm a software gag who sits infornt of the computer for about 9 to 10 hrs/day and when I reach home to refresh my mind I play videos games for about 2 to 3 hrs.. Certainly my eyes started draining and it started itching as well sometimes I get headache...... So one of my friends suggested me Gunnar..And after doing some homework I've decided to go with Gunnar. Its been only a couple of days and I'm yet to see results. but to be honest my eyes feel more comfortable using these glasses. there is no strain, it feels cool, reduces the glare. Out of all it looks cool and fits my head. Thanks to gunnar... If there are any ppl who are gamers...!!! do not hesitate.. its worth a buy...!!!Cons: 1) Being a Amber glass it changes the natural color...(but still acceptable).2) Little delicate... so all those butterfingers out there.... you got to be careful :P which includes me..:P
