She only was able to drink one. I had the luxury to drink the other 3! Delicious cherry taste sparkles the tongue with each sip. Tried a glass over ice. It seemed to add a creamy sensation.. so I used it like syrup on vanilla ice cream. Dreamy.

This is a review for the POMONA pure black cherry juice in a pack of four, 1 L bottles.The 4 pack I received comes in a box with a decent amount of styrofoam to protect your glass bottles in transit. Great for shipping, maybe not the best for the environment. My 4 bottles arrived undamaged with the seals intact. The cherry juice appears to be vacuum sealed to preserve the juice and prevent oxidation. However, I do not think the juice was pasteurized, so you can use that info however you see fit for your purchase.The juice is dark and has some particulates that dissolve fairly well with a few shakes of the bottle. The color is very dark, almost black, but the texture going down is incredibly smooth. The cherry juice is also rather sweet, with hardly any detectable tartness. It works fairly well as a stand alone morning beverage, although I couldn't drink more than 4 oz at a time due to the sweetness. There is no added sugar, but with concentrated cherries you're getting about 37mg of sugar in 8 oz. This juice is also "only" 99" dark cherry juice, with 1% lemon juice that I'm guessing works to prevent oxidation.While a bit limited as a stand alone juice for my liking, it does work very well as a mixer. I put a splash into my fruit smoothies for a little extra flavor. It excels as a mixer for alcoholic beverages, with a Grey Goose plus this cherry juice over ice becoming a party favorite.In summary, if you are looking for a smooth, 99% pure cherry juice that is almost all sweet and no tart, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

Growing up, I drank my fair share of artificial flavors, and added sugar juices. Most of the flavors I was used to were really just a close, or not too close, approximation of what the actual fruit should taste like.Artificial Cherry was usually my favorite fake fruit flavor. This is obviously a pale comparison to what we have here, real, organic, 100% black cherry juice. This the way it's supposed to taste: bursting with flavor and not too sweet.So far my favorite way to drink it is with slightly citrus sparkling water and ice. Amazing.At $11.25 per 1liter bottle, and you have to buy 4 bottles, the cost is the reason I have to take a star off the rating. Even as an occasional treat, I'm unlikely to buy this again. If I have to spend that much I'll buy from a local farmer at a farmers market, perhaps. Or if I really, really need a real cherry fix and it's not July in Michigan ( the cherry capital! ) I might break down and order again!

I think it's important to start with how my approach to food, snacks, edibles in general isn't really holistic, not some sort of diet or a following of any kind. In general, I sort of backed of juice in general but kind of returned to it again by drinking it solo but also adding as a liquid to smoothies too. Since I've returned I have to tried to find out the location of the product is made or processed, to avoid preservatives and toy around with no sugar added options. Most of the no sugar added options just wind up with me adding something to it to make it, well, edible, usually mixed with something else.This is good by itself. I just like drinking solo, so adding a bit to smoothie is a no brainer. I don't know that I've ever had cherry juice before. I can't stand canned cherries, tolerate frozen cherries (usually in things), and dear Lord help me could eat raw cherries that are sufficiently sweet until I am just sick them. It's a short growing month so that bodily abuse is thankfully limited. Well no more limitations because I really like this. In fact i like it so much I am going to explore the other juices from this Pomona brand and toy with some mixtures. The biggest issue for me for this particular product is of course cost. Now i have an organic and natural cranberry juice in the fridge, from another brand, that i could drink straight only if my life depended on me, and that was not cheap either. I am ware that Pomona is not really excessive in this area... The line of the organic, pure juices in glass jars is a premium product commanding a premium price. Getting past that though, and knowing full well that cherries pack plenty of sugar even in a no sugar added product... my pleasant surprise with how good it taste still stands. So yeah. I'll buy this again.

99% juice. 1% lemon juice. 100% organic.I use this juice diluted in water for drinking as well as in home made gummies. Both options give a little boost on hot summer days while working on our organic family farm. One bottle is large & goes a long way. If you like to make your own gummies, try using some sparkling water in your recipe for a pleasant change.I would have given this 5 stars except for the horrible Styrofoam packaging. Yes, it means the bottles are super safe & secure. But it comes at a cost to the environment. Many green companies that I order from manage to safely package their products in creative, yet protective ways utilizing cardboard alone. So far, I've never had anything arrive damaged.
