ShoyeidoKyoto Cherry Blossoms Incense, 450 Sticks - Kyo-zakura

This review is for the tiny sticks (450) of Shoyeido's Cherry Blossom scent.This scent is strong and robust, earthy and sweet, spicy and sour, smokey and full. It's a cherry note with a woodsy peacefulness. A cool campfire in a damp, early-spring woods, after several days of cold rain. It could be late fall or early spring -- because it's still very cool out. But certainly not winter -- because things are still at play, not frozen. Temperatures haven't reached much above 50 for awhile. It's damp, mossy and muddy out.There's a strong punch of sour cherries that is moist and mouth-watering -- equal in strength to the earthy moisture and lingering campfire. This is not baked cookies and cozy warmth. No cinnamon. This is March, outdoors. There's a campfire, so the sun is setting -- or nearly set. It's getting cold. This sky is pink and wide -- and the air is crisp and hard.In my experience, the cherry blossoms can come quite early in spring. Just a brief Indian Summer -- a few days is enough. But that has passed, and we are back to the drab, coolness of March. The strong scent of a cherry wood fire is smoking and going out -- it's full and present to remind us, only in thought, of the coming days of spring.This scent is big. If people are looking for a certain thing... they may not be able to consider this. This is a bold picture. It should be embraced for exactly as I have described. Larger rooms or those without a direct flow or good connection to the scent may produce distorted results, like a metallic cherry. Disregard those results if your area captures the fullness, depth and breadth of a burning incense. Not all spaces do -- and this is one scent that I feel really requires it.

Love this brand for incense. It burns a bit quick, but their scents are lovely, consistent, and unique. While this scent is a classic, and relatively mild, I prefer River Walk to several that I have tried.

This incense was much better 5 gears ago the last package was much inferior than it used tô be

The smell is awful, like curry or some other spice, not like flowers. I couldn't return it so I had to trash it all.

My all time favorite Shoyeido Incense. Rich fragrance but very affordable for frquent or daily enjoyment.

I adore this incense. It is a great incense for a cheap price.
