Plackers Grind No More Dental Night Guard for Teeth Grinding, 14 Count

I bought these maybe a couple of months ago, and have been using them for several weeks now.Let me preface this by saying that I'm the kind of person who gags easily when getting x-rays done at the dentist, and I was absolutely terrified that these lite mouthguards might slip and I'd choke on them in my sleep. Still, my roommate started to complain about my teeth grinding at night, and it would get much worse when I was stressed about pretty much anything. I never woke up with any headaches or soreness like teeth-grinders apparently do, so I had no idea! Grinding has worn my teeth down a little bit, but not to an extreme.On the first night, I tried one on my lower teeth. It worked out great and was most 'natural' feeling that way. The guard did not slip around and I was really relieved to not have any issues that I feared. The material is super durable and I can't imagine the intensity of grinding or clenching that it would take to chew through it in one night. I did find quickly that wearing the guard on my lower jaw caused some soreness on the little central webbed section between gum and cheek, even though there's a small indent in the guard to account for this.So after a couple of nights, I switched the guard up to my upper teeth. It feels a little weirder to me there but still fits fine and doesn't irritate anything at all. I have used them every night (and on the one or two that I've forgotten, I got complaints about grinding) with absolutely no issues. Sometimes I do wake up chewing on it and it slightly warps the 'wings' of the guard but not to any significant amount. After taking one out in the morning, my bite feels kind of weird for maybe a minute before the feeling is gone and back to normal.I don't try to make each one last 2 weeks like a lot of others have said. I give it about a week, and rinse one thoroughly in water before and after I use it. I'm still not even halfway through the package yet. It really is just an unnoticeable little teeth separator that has completely stopped my ability to grind at night, and probably more effective than whatever bulky thing I might have to pay out the wazoo for at the dentist!When my current package runs out, I will buy more without hesitation!

I ruined my teeth by grinding. This was MOSTLY because I HATE wearing mouthguards. The bulky nightguards make my jaw hurt and they are awkward to wear. I would often wake up and the mouthguard would be gone anyway so that was discouraging.Anyway, after spending so much to fix my teeth I decided to get serious about this mouthguard business. I tried a number of different products, but this one worked and I have been using them for 4 years now. They are "guardy" enough to prevent grinding but small enough that I don't spit them out in the night. Also, no more jaw pain, they are more comfortable than anything else I've found. I wear mine facing down, but it is possible to wear them on your top teeth as well if you find it more to your liking.I also use them for much longer than the 3 days or whatever you're supposed to do. I keep using them until I destroy them so a package lasts me a long time, maybe a month. However, they are disposable so if I lose one or leave it somewhere it is no big deal. (Plus I don't have to buy another one for $30 and go through the whole weird boiling process again.) I also like that I can replace them and don't have to keep the same gross disgusting mouthguard for a year or however long they are supposed to last. I seriously never expected to find so many benefits in a mouthguard, these are a lifesaver.I can see why these aren't what some people want in a mouthguard, but they are seriously worth a shot if you've had problems with other brands in the past. I don't know if it will help anyone to know this, but I am very small and my mouth is small and I think that is what causes most of the problems with regular mouth guards. If you have similar problems you should try these. Worst case scenario, you have some extras around that you can use on an airplane or keep in the car for emergency overnights.

These are fantastic! I had been using similar mouth guards from Target but they were $15 for just 2! So, I decided to give these a shot since they are so much cheaper and the shape was similar. I also tried the mouth guard that you mold to your teeth but they were awful and didn't fit correctly at all. Super uncomfortable and couldn't close my mouth with it in. These, however, fit pretty good. It's smaller and less bulky than the one I'd used that I'd liked from Target. No more jaw pain (I've been a clencher since having my wisdoms removed). My only complaint is that some nights they rub up against my gums as they fit a little too snuggly which is surprising considering I have a pretty small mouth. As long as I leave it loose, it works great! I'll continue to buy these.

I've spent $60 on 1 and would mess up my gums. Normally $20 ‐ 40 bucks for 1 and they're too thick, uncomfortable, cheeks, gums, just bad, too many of them and all from well known pharmacies too.Accidently came across these for cheap as emergencies and they're my all time favorite!So comfortable, flexible, thin, basic, stays in place just fine, 1 will last me for months making it very inexpensive to have!There's no actual case so I use one from my previous very expensive guard that I hated & trashed.For heavy biters guard will get destroyed in days, but that only happened to me once.Overall for the cost, comfort, effectiveness, plus quantity, I give it a six star.So important for my health and appearance made me rate a product so high for the fist time!

The product will not cover what I thought. It says that it is not to be used for TMG. I am returning it this weekend.
