Almost an excellent product, but...
I purchased 2 sets of these - one for at home, and one for in the car for unplanned needs. These are not hard to put on, although I did need to be sitting in a decent place to put them on (the tailgate works if not at home). Do they work good, unquestionably. They grip the ice or surface with a passion and I did not slip once. I probably would strongly recommend not putting them on and then walking across a vinyl floor, or tile (might scratch) - no, I didn't. Where I am knocking off a star (no, I did not contact the vendor asking for replacement, as this is not really their fault, and there is really nothing they can do to remedy MY problem) is that I am a 270 lb guy, and was using them to not fall during snow removal more than regular walking. The prongs on these things do NOT bend, but I am heavy enough to sink them into the ice (excellent traction), but as I continue moving they do not necessarily want to "release" from the ice, and as a result I am able to break the "rivets" that attach the cleats to the rubber mounts. I had this happen on both feet and with both pairs - I was working on ice-covered concrete, and I don't think there is really a way for a guy my size to avoid this (on thicker ice). Fortunately I still have one pair, because it turned out that of each pair on opposite feet I only lost 1 cleat., so they will be perfectly good for next year until I use them up. I think they are a good product if you are not a big guy, or if you are only walking on snow, trails, sidewalks with a thin coating of ice, etc, and not walking backwards dragging a heavy snow blower. I was not confident in buying the "yak trax" type of product, because I wasn't sure how good of a grip I was really going to get with those springy bottoms, but I can guarantee you that you probably have no risk of falling wearing these!!

Good, with a few hiccups
I bought these so I can continue to walk in my great winter boots that still slip on the ice. So I have used these with my big Ass winter boots and my pretty dress boots I wear to work. I got the XL size to ensure they fit the big boots. The first day I was super excited, but five minutes into the walk one side slipped off the back, I fixed it, then the other side slipped off the back. This continued to happen, until I figured out I could take the shoe laces and rig the back so they won't come off and the cleats work great. I do the same for my dress boots-which they are a bit big, but still fit, as they and they have a strap/buckle type decoration i can attach to the cleat. So I love the reassurance of not slipping. I am going to do something more user friendly to rig them so they won't slip off of either pair of boots. Also 1 metal cleat came off...not sure how much the rest will last. I am not sure I bought the right product, due to the fact that I walk on city sidewalks...so sometimes I am walking on pavement, which may have contributed to the cleat coming off. But for $16 and if I am able to continue my walks and they last me this winter, season (right now we are in the polar vortex) I will be happy

Won't stay on shoes
These just don't stay on my shoes. I find myself having to stop every 2 or 3 minutes to put them back on when they start flopping around because one end has come off my heal. I have tried with different style sneakers and boots. Doesn't work for any of them.

Fantastic cramp-on's: excellent grip on ice and snow! Will buy again, when necessary.
The rubber stretches fairly easily, once you get the hang of it, over your shoes. Once strapped on, they stay in place. The stainless steel burrs, on the underside, grips snow and ice superbly! I was very secure in walking to/from my car, at work, in tropical Southern Minnesota, the land of the 'Chosen Frozen'.I slip them over my shoes, just before stepping out onto the icy streets, walk, securely, to my destination, then I remove them, until needed for the next time.Having suffered a mild concussion, a few years ago, in a fall on some ice just outside of my office building, I needed something I could rely upon. These are that, and more. They worked exceptionally well for 3+ months, in widely varying conditions. On snow, they gripped extremely well; on ice, my feet were solid, without any slippage! The construction, and the design, are very good. The only down-side I see, are the chrome-plated rivets, which hold the stainless steel beads to the rubber skeleton: the chrome-plated metal is steel, which is rusting, while the edged, stainless steel beads, will never rust. Best bang for your buck! Will buy again, when these wear out. Cheers!

Great for not slipping.
I love these crampons, they are great for not slipping on ice when I’m walking, however recently while walking the back just kept coming off and I continually had to stop to put it back on my boot. Thank goodness for the Velcro strap or I would’ve perhaps lost them. I ordered a smaller size to see if maybe it was just too loose. I wear a size 7 women’s shoe and had originally ordered a medium. The small works well and I’ve had no more problems.

These cleats have issues...
My first experience with them after they arrived was as reported, there is nothing to keep the rear portion from coming off if moving through snow. The other short coming, while I wait for the the rubber to break at the toe, is the cleats RUST! Someone on the design team did not think this was a big deal, some one in manufacturing didn't either. To hopefully fix this I masked the cleats and sprayed them with Rustoleum, so far so good. The last bit is how to keep the rear section secure like the front, another item not so important to the design team. I used two heavy elastics with round balls on the end, often seen used to hold up roll up garage doors (see photos). Now they are working quite well and have stayed put on my feet, but the thin rubber is still a problem in the making.
