Quick Chill Double Coil Immersion Chiller with 3/8" Tubing, Copper

This really cuts down my beer making time. I attached to to a small aquarium pump I had laying around. I fill my kitchen sink with ice and water and submerge the aquarium pump in it and pump the icy water through the chiller letting the ice water recirculate. It gets down to 75 degrees quickly so I can add my yeast and start cleaning up. Another advantage of the aquarium pump is that the pressure is much less than the tap, so your not so likely to blow off a water line due to excessive pressure. I double clamp each of my hoses to the unit and never have an issue.

Advertised is a double coil chiller. What I got is a standard single coil chiller. I wanted the double coil because it was suppose to have a smaller diameter than the standard single coil chillers. I use a tall narrow pot. This barely fits in the pot. I'll keep it because you can't beat the price but it's not what I ordered.

They Clearly advertised at a bit over 7” in diameter but what came was a bit over 9”

It's just the coil, so make sure to get your tubing and hose clamps separate. I ended up getting a diswasher hookup kit and a valve to connect to the cold water line under my sink, and used a couple feet of tubing I had lying around for the out. I bent the bottom coils a bit so the whole thing would sit higher in my kettle, now it works great. Brings my 3-4 gal of wort down to 80 in about 15 min.

Reduced chill down time substantially. Highly effective and hightly recommened!

Chiller is fast! I can cool 3 gal of wort down in just a few minutes. Requires a trip to the hardware store they fittings and hoses.

Chills my homebrew in under 20 mins.

Cools wort down in 10 minutes! Very efficient.
