These aren’t Flat and they don’t cover the plate!First- there isn’t a convex curve, the plastic is flat, but it doesn’t sit flat against your plates. The screw holes are about 1/4” - 1/2” thick, as are the sides of the cover. So the plastic cover sits that high off the plate. And the cover is the Exact size of a standard license plate from outside edge to outside edge. So your plate doesn’t sit inside the cover, the edges of the cover literally sit on the very edge of your plate. So it makes a box 1/4” - 1/2” thick. Needless to say, this will not work with my frame.

This product is marketed as “unbreakable”, however one of two plates came cracked around a screw hole. It seems to be a manufacturing defect with molding the hard yet fragile plastic.The other plate also came with heavy marring on the front glossy face as if it was used.Otherwise, the tint was dark enough for my preference. Unfortunately, I am returning this.

I got pulled over with these on my car, these are extremely black and look awesome wirh you black ride but these guys with party lights will harass you cuz they are bored.

Product a little too dark. Heard rumors of police stopping people in our area for not being able to read license. I wish there was some kind of rating on darkness. I would have bought a lighter version. Now I am stuck with 6 extremely dark covers for my three cars. They are sturdy and durable, but too dark.

Everything about this product seems great until you put it on your plate. The cover is literally the same size as the plate. When you wash your car the water gets in between the plate and the cover. It leaves the plate partially unreadable causing to take off the plate cover to dry it. It's a real hassle. If you go to a car wash and the air blower dries your car the plate stays all fogged up and it's unreadable. When your plate is unreadable, you are going to get a ticket.

Nice covers, easy to istall. Only problem is having to fit these in an older license plate frame, the shields are flat, but not only have a raised edge around them, also have raised circles around the screw holes. Does not make for a nice flat install.

Seem sturdy but a little smaller than ones I’ve ordered in the past there is a small edge of plate exposed around cover where others in past have completely covered but this in one is flat so I think it will be sturdier in the long run where the bubbled ones cracked easy when getting kicked occasionally climbing in and out of bed

I wanted a smoked licensed plate cover but the ones that I usually run across are the bubble ones but those do not fit on my “01” tahoe because of where the plate is located on those vehicles. Im glad I found this plate cover. I wanted something smoked but not too dark to where the police would pull me over for it. I just received it and put it on and it looks great not to dark and not almost clear. I also like the price other in the part stores are $25 im like 😳. I would order this again and you are getting two for a great price.

Great price for a great product! The tint is dark enough to cover the plate at night and enhances the look of the car, but is not too dark that it will cause you to get tickets. The plastic is somewhat brittle but still good quality just be careful to not over tighten. Much better looking than the bubble covers and light does NOT bounce off it at different angles causing bright spots like the bubble ones. Fits over top of the plate, does not encase the plate within the cover.

Absolute best licence plate covers on the market. The flat face is much nicer than the ugly bubble ones, not to mention bubble ones are technically illegal to be using. Found out the hard way when I was pulled over and forced to break my bubble covers off. Will never buy another cover unless its this one.

Two things about this product. The first is that it is not big enough to completely cover the plates, there is a white edge of the plate sticking out around the cover. The second, and this is probably my fault, is that the covers are definitely darker than what I wanted. I will be looking for new covers soon.

Had few scratches on the covers to begin with as soon as the plastic sheet was removed. While installing the screws in the top holes, the cover started cracking. These covers do not cover the entire Ontario license plate. Had to return after just 1 day of usage

Stop going to Walmart, buy these. High quality with a nice smoke color, not too dark. I only wish they gave you better hardware to mount the plates, I had to go buy new hardware as I was missing a lock washer too.
