Hi there, First off, let me say all your questions are great questions to have. It’s great to hear from customers that are educated about the industry. It helps us learn more about what’s important to you, so we can do a better job at making our products genuinely the best. So getting to your questions: In regards to our sourcing practices, our R&D has a certified doctor on staff and is heavily involved with our manufacturers for EVERY PRODUCT to make sure the raw materials used meet whatever criteria we set in our formulas, from natural status to purity. We make sure we meet all these criteria before manufacturing ever begins. Now, let me go into a bit of how we screen the manufacturers we consider working with and how we determine which manufacturers we feel safe working with. Hopefully, this will help give you an understanding of what we go through to make sure our manufacturers adhere to the highest standards of safety and sanitation. We start out with a survey for them to fill out as a part of our vetting process. In this survey, each prospective manufacturer provides information on aspects of their business. From there, we ask them follow up questions regarding their processes and/or request supplementary documentation to support claims made in their survey. This ranges from their standard operating procedures to GMP (good manufacturing practices) audits. Primarily we look for manufacturers that are NSF certified as they have more stringent quality standards than other third party quality systems audits (I can confirm this from personal experience), and for a facility to keep their certification they have to meet criteria set by NSF, which are higher than what the FDA requires. Now, let's talk about third party testing. My personal opinion as to why contamination happens is because a lot of these startup supplement companies don’t have the budget to afford anyone that’s actually worked in the manufacturing process. Therefore, though they may test with every intention of ensuring quality, they may not be selecting the tests that are most necessary or effective in confirming quality. An example of this is… The FDA at minimum, only requires one type of testing as a part of a release for products. So to save on cost, most manufacturers will only do identity testing to confirm a product’s quality as that is normally the cheapest option. We, as a company, decided to make our manufacturers do additional potency testing on all finished goods to make sure our products meet our label claim, which can be missed by doing identity testing alone. As someone with an actual background in quality control/assurance, I think this allows our company to stand out. It’s really important to me that we do things the right way and I feel we are taking steps towards being a better company everyday. Does "high absorption" mean that all of the plcar will be absorbed quickly enough into the bloodsteam so that no tmao will be formed by gut bacteria?

Will this be permanently out of stock?

I did not know that this item was out of stock. It was a good product for me but I have not bought it in awhile. There are few comparable alternatives, like GPLC from VitaMonk (GlycoTrax) and from Swanson. If I start using PLC again, I will buy one of these products from VitaMonk or Swanson, if Biovy is no longer produced.

So to be clear, this does not have glycine in it?

No, it does not have any glycine, per the list of ingredients listed on bottle. That is why I buy this particular brand. Other PCL also include glycine and I do not want take this additional ingredient.

Like Another Reviewer Said: FINALLY PLCAR Without Stuff Added!

Once upon a time you could only find PLCAR as bulk powder, and then one sad day *poof*, it was gone. Shortly thereafter, bottled PLCAR with Glycine showed up in places like GNC and well-stocked health food stores. About this time I emailed -- I think his name was Charlie -- who had started 1fast400. I asked him what's the deal, and he said PLCAR bulk is still around, but he didn't sell it because there was no demand. It's hard to believe there was less of a demand for PLCAR than for the weekly 'Miracle Brain Smartening, Muscle & erection Veinining, and Wallet Empyting supplement. You know, the must-have supplement that vanishes into obscurity a month later? So anyway, as far as I could tell, the Glycine rendered the PLCAR inactive. For me, it was so utterly useless that I wouldn't have taken it if it were free. Pure PLCAR is a whole different animal: It HELPS with any of a variety of icky day/night leg syndromes; It helps mitigate ED caused by medication, or so I've heard. And it helps with general fatigue, just kinda making you feel a bit less crummy. The keyword here is 'HELPS', it's not a miracle cure. Nevertheless, even if you don't work out, it's well-worth the cost.
