This little tool is so great for shucking oysters. I didn’t have to put much work into it. The glove is also great. I wish it was water resistant on the palm side though.

The gear works. I never buy such food prep tools cheaply as it might have lead contamination. Be safe and buy this reasonable priced product.

I have bought another oyster knife and oyster knife with edge nips. Both were junk. Then I bought this product. It has a great feel in the hand. The point on the blade is great to get deep into the hinge. The blade is very substantial so I can twist to open the oyster. In short, it is very well designed. Before I had this knife, I gave up having oysters at home. Now, I forgo the high restaurant price and open my own. For me, this is the best oyster knife one can buy.

I got this and another brand because I was not sure which brand would be best to deal with these challenging, delicious oysters. This was by far the best, not only are the gloves a thoughtful - and necessary - addition, but the knives were sharper than a popular American brand and opened the oysters easily.

Bought these for a family gathering thinking they'd be throw-aways, but keeping for next rounds because very well built. Did the job efficiently and safely. Even got some teens into shucking!

Fairly reasonable price for the great quality demonstrated. Way better than the cheap ones found in grocery stores.

This set is perfect for shelling oysters. I would say that the gloves run a little small, I am normally a medium but I ordered the large and they just fit. But overall the knife is easy to use and makes shelling oysters a breeze.

These callus cushions work really well. They stay in place all day and provide immediate relief from pressure and pain. The padding is soft, and it makes walking much more comfortable. They’re easy to apply and fit comfortably in most shoes. Perfect for anyone dealing with foot calluses!

The item arrived in 2 days after the order. So far used to open 2 boxes of oysters, 12 each, and I admit it is much better than anything I tried before (some openers included in boxes or cheap openers). The knife is well made, feels solid in hand. The wooden handle is well attached to the body, and all together it feels like one sturdy unit. The length is enough to cut a leg on mid-sized oysters - 2 or 3, did not try on 1. The tip of the knife is reasonably sharp to get inserted easily, with some little force. Be careful though - you need to see where you push it in, because it may easily break a shell at the place where you push - even if it is not the proper place. So do not apply a brut force - try to find / probe the right hole. Once inserted, it opens the shell with just a little movement. The glove is nothing special - it will protect your hand from scratches from the shell and helps to hold it firm, also probably protects against cuts, but I do not know how you can get cut by this knife - the blades are not that sharp (and they should not be for oysters - otherwise you get full mouth of scratched pearls). The protective cover fits well unlike several reports here - just requires some alignment of the button's parts. In overall, it is very good purchase for money and will make opening oysters nothing worrying for you.

These tools are sharp and well made for their purpose. The handle is long and narrow for grip and accuracy. The guard is extra long for added slip protection. The tool itself is extremely sharp which makes a clean and easy oyster opening. Overall great product. Have traded in our traditional tools for more of these shuckers!
