Barbie Beach Raquelle Doll

Love this doll. Her hair is awesome, very easy to brush for my daughter. My only worry before purchasing was that the swimsuit is painted on and thus the straps might interfere with other clothes, but that has not been a problem at all-- my daughter doesn't care and I barely notice the straps beneath other clothes.

I assume this is a newer "Beach Barbie" and not the same as earlier dolls in the series. These seem to be more aimed towards "for water play" as written on the box.Previous versions had actual cloth swimwear that could be removed/changed. "She wears a fabulously patterned one-piece swimsuit." The swimsuit on this doll is permanently painted on to the doll.Also, the legs on this doll do not bend at the knee. Note to Mattel - people do bend their joints while swimming. Along with that, it can't really be used with the beach and pool accessories sold by Mattel.

I bought this Raquelle doll to go with the Barbie pool I got my daughter for her birthday and she really likes her. She measures about 12" tall and is made of hollow plastic because she can be placed in water. I like that her makeup is tastefully done and not trashy looking like so many dolls on the market today; she's just wearing light pink lipstick and eyeshadow. Her red patterned bathing suit is really pretty and I really like that her swimsuit is painted on her because it's one less piece of clothing for my daughter to lose and you can easily put other Barbie dresses and clothes over it.I'm disappointed that you can't bend her arms and legs and can only move them up and down at the shoulder and hip. She can still sit though. Also, her hair feels greasy and cheap right out of the box and after getting wet a few times like all the others in this Water Barbie line, her hair becomes really frizzy and tough to brush. Overall, for the $5 price tag, she's a solidly built doll who goes perfect with a Barbie pool or even in the bathtub, as well as everyday play.

My daughter purchased this doll with her money to go along with the beach Barbie. She loves this doll! The doll is good quality for a Barbie at this price point. The swim suit is painted on, so no lost clothing. The hair was a little oily feeling , but still ok. I would recommend this doll.

I bought this doll to make into a bride but couldn't use it because the bathing suit is painted onto the doll. That wasn't clear in the description. I couldn't return it because the cost to return was more than the purchase price.

I bought this Raquelle Doll because I thought she looked like me in the product photo. But when I gor her in the mail, I realized she doesn't look like me at all. That's the only reason I gave her 3 stars. If you're looking for a Beach Barbie that doesn't necessarily look like you, then I'm pretty sure you'll be happier with Barbie Beach Raquelle than I am =)

I bought for a 2 year old girl - she loves taking this into the pool and bath. She has 2 older sisters so is in to Barbies.

Was not aware that the swimming suit did Not come off! I bought these dolls for 2 of my grown Granddaughters and a future Daughter-Inlaw, for their up and coming weddings. I needed to place strapless weddings gowns on the dolls, which is a problem because their suits are a part of the mold of the doll! Should have been advertised as such. Had to buy all new Barbies!
