Worked amazingly on my two week trip to Italy!
I recently got back from my two week vacation in Italy and this (Type L-Italy) worked perfectly! At first I was confused and scared to use things in another country. I didn't know if I would need something to convert the power but it ended up that I only needed these. I used my laptop charger, phone charger, and blowdryer using these. I traveled to different parts of the country about every two days for two weeks and it worked at every hotel and B&B we stayed at. I would recommend this for anyone planning on traveling to Italy! It was a great buy, and even more of a plus that it came with three of them for such a cheap price. Yes, this does not convert the power. But if you are from USA traveling to Italy, you should not have a problem with most of your items. My husband and I both used these to charge our phones and we did not have to worry about them getting fried. At points, the wall charger would get a little warm but then cooled back down. My blow dryer had a power converter on it so I did not have to worry. If your blow dryer is not build with a power converter then I would be a little skeptic on using it in certain places. Overall these are great quality, affordable chargers that did the job! We used them for two weeks without any issues!

It works great, but...
Heads up: I purchased some Type L (Italy) and some Type G (UK) adapters. Let's just start off by saying this is not a bad product at all. It does its job perfectly, and (decently, sometimes it hard to put in or get out) fit. It was able to charge my phone perfectly normal. However, there is a catch to this. Outlets in Europe have a voltage of 220 - 240v. I found this out the hard way. If you plan on using any U.S. appliances (110v power), you are out of luck. Your appliances will be instantly fried forever. In order to avoid this, you must purchase a converter/transformer in addition to the adapters. It does not say this anywhere in the product description. So in conclusion, this will work with universal devices (basically anything with USB charging). IT WILL NOT WORK WITH U.S. APPLIANCES. Other than the minor inconvenience of not being able to use a noise machine or fan, we were able to charge our phones just fine, which is most important.

Handled Italy With Ease!
We just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and these little adapters handled everything perfectly. Never had a problem, no bad connection, etc... They fit our American products and the Italian plug(s) equally well. They are seemingly well made with were not flimsy in any way. Be sure you are aware these are NOT CONVERTERS! ....... they are nothing more than a means to adapt your American (and other) style plug to a grounded Italian outlet. To that end, they worked perfectly. Lastly.... you would be surprised at how many American products do "not" need a 240 to 120 converter. In most cases, your camera charger, cell phone charger, laptop/tablet chargers, hair dryers, curling irons, etc.. all are dual voltage devices. So with that being said, we went almost the entire trip using nothing more than these adapters and our american products. Be sure to read the information on your own products to know whether it is compatible with foreign voltage......

worked great in every Italy hotel we went to.
It was the same price to buy this 3-set, so my traveling companion and I were able to plug in 3 plus devices in Italy hotels. This 3-prong fit in every single accommodation in Italy: in Milan, Cinque Terre, Florence and Venice. This is the "current" standard through out Italy. I know some reviewers talk about other types far south, but I think any place re-done in the last 20 years has been updated to this standard, also called "L". We brought along a U.S. 3-way plug to plug into this, so we could plug in more devices. (I brought a phone and camcorder... my friend brought a phone, kindle and camera... 5 devices and a 5 plug in possibilities with these 3 adapters). Keep in mind that many hotels have very few outlets, and the ones we'd find next to the bed already had a lamp plugged into it, so there was always the debate: keep the phone plugged in over night, or have a light beside the bed. I had read the some fast trains in Italy have electrical sockets, but we found no sockets on any train we were on. (fast trains from Florence to Venice, and Venice to Milan)

Do not buy. Voltage between ground and neutral.
All three of these adapters have voltage between ground and neutral. They are not safe.

Great Adapters - NOT a Coverter - Make sure you get the right country type.
These are great little adapters for the money. By having two adapters, you can plug your devices into different electrical outlets, rather than plugging everything into the same outlet and possibly blowing a fuse. However, my experience is there are few outlets available in guest rooms, so I also bought the OREI Universal 2 in 1 Plug Adapter, which allowed me to plug in both my phone charger and my iPod/iPad charger in the same outlet. Or, you can just use this adapter with a regular American extension cord or one of those plugs that allows you to plug in three devices at a time. These adapters are okay for use with laptop chargers, but for small appliances, like hair dryers, curlers, and straighteners, you will need to get a converter and an adapter, so that you don't burn down the hotel like they did in the film, "Just Married." Make sure you get the correct adapter for the country. Italian adapters will not work in Germany, for example.
