Great Strings for a Guitar Requiring Low Tension Strings
Bought the Aquila strings after using them on a baritone Uke.I have a 60 year old classical guitar that seemed to be having neck problems (no truss rod).with the current version of mid tension nylon strings (tried several manufacturers).Tried the Aquila 55C AMBRA 900's . After allowing the neck to "relax" for several months with no string tension, I installed the Aquila strings. The neck problems seem to have improved, and the sound isgood as I remember it from when the guitar was new.I'm a very happy customer!

Nice tone.
I like these strings a lot. I just think that it has a beautiful tone. Little more distinct than others I’ve used I.e, savarez etc.

Rusted Squeakers!
The high strings sound amazing but they squeak like hell. The low strings rusted within the first week. Ive been using Aquila for years. This was the first time trying these string because of the price. Pass.

Good, carrying tone with a slightly archaic quality
I got these for my Roosebeck lute-back baritone ukulele. I've re-tuned it to "top four" (guitar), which I am ashamed to say most of my ukes are currently tuned to as well.It had a bright but slightly "nylon" sound to it, like the small-body acoustic guitar it is. With these, there's somehow a little more of a body to the sound. You'd never mistake it for a lute, but I find it a very useable and pleasant sound that feels quite appropriate to the look of the instrument. I am very happy with these.

Snap
Just about to settle down, about three hours, when the high e snapped. Not at the nut or the saddle. Not even on a fret. Had just put the guitar down when ping.Shame as I thought they sounded pretty good and liked the feel.

Great sound, but squeaky
Aquila AmbraI really like the sound of these strings. The trebles in particular have a very nice, warm tone, and more sustain than other strings I have tried. The basses are balanced, not overpowering; not very bright, which I like, but might not suit you if you like very present and bright basses. The only drawback of this set is their squeak-ness. When freshly installed it was near unbearable. With usage it got better, now inthe third week is acceptable, but still there are more squeaks than with -for example- D'Addario Pro-Arté, that I used just before these ones. I also like the grip on the strings; they feel slightly rough, but again this will not suit everyone (and might it be responsible for the squeaks?.)Overall, as much as I love the sound, the noise is an issue. I will try Aquila again, but a different set; they claim their sugar are squeakless...
