I bought a screen from two other sellers first. One worked poorly, the other not at all. Then I bought this one. By this time, install was simple (less than 5 minutes) and the screen functioned perfectly. However, IT IS FRAGILE (duh... it's GLASS), and I had to order a fourth replacement screen. Since this was the only one that had worked, ordering the same one was the obvious choice. It arrived today and I could immediately tell slight differences, the most noticeable being the package. The last one came in that transparent silver bag that most new computer parts come in, this one did not. That had me concerned, but another 5 minutes later and my fears were alleviated by another perfectly working screen (I'm using it to Swype this review). One other significant difference between the two was the adhesive that so many other reviews talk about. The one that came in the silver bag stuck perfectly, the one today did not stick at all. That was really fixed with a roll of 2mm adhesive sticker tape that I had previously bought on Amazon for about $6. Using the sticker tape added about 3 minutes to the install. This product has made my tablet just like new again, and the seller is quick about answering emails regarding any concerns you may have. I hope I don't need to, but if I have to replace my screen again, it's obvious to me what I'm buying.

Saw a video showing how difficult it might be to remove old screen and install new one, turns out much easier than I thought. Bought the tools and adhesive tape thinking I would need it, but the adhesive was already part of the new digitizer..Wound up returning the tape.Attached new screen, powered everything up reassembled unit and works flawlessly. only problem is I thought I was getting black, and a white one came. No biggie, perhaps I didn't read it carefully.But thats my fault , not the fault of the product

As of today, the item is installed and in full working condition. Upon first unwrapping it from it's package, I notice some smugged finger prints on the screen film ( shown in picture). Thankfully it was just that and nothing else. I didn't see any noticable damages or imperfections other than the finger prints. The item has two protective films, one on each side. The back side does in fact have the tape needed to stick on the tablet. Others have been saying that instructions are not included with the glass, which is true, but I have never received instructions from any other digitizer orders.

This was fun. I was able to replace the cracked screen on my Galaxy Tab 4. The only thing I didn't like was that the edges did not stick down at all and I ended up having to buy a roll of the adhesive tape to secure the edges. Other than that, it was spot on.

I've done 4 or 5 screen repairs, this one has been my favorite glass. Worked great, precut adhesive with bit of cushion was excellent seal.

The was a perfect fit on my son's Galaxy Tab 4. The hardest part was removing the old cracked screen, but Youtube came in handy with the how to remove and replace video. The only thing that prevents me from giving a higher rating is that the part did not ship with instructions nor does it come with the double-sided adhesive padding (DSAP) that like a gasket adhering the touch screen to the tablet. I used thin cut strips of double-sided carpet tape to do the trick in the areas that I could not salvage the original DSAP.

total loss. The digitizer does not respond to touch from the get-go. My mistake of placing the glass in before testing, damaged the glass while trying to remove it from the device. Now its not returnable. Terible product.

Doesn't work - it does not respond when touched.It's also noticeably thinner than the original.
