Great Investment, High Maintenance, Worth the Effort
This machine is pretty high maintenance compared to a normal drip coffee machine, but it's definitely worth the effort. We ordered this machine for our project management office of 20 people so that we didn't need to go to the break room on another floor to get coffee. We have made over 800 drinks in 5 weeks. If you feed this machine with good beans, coffee it puts out is very good. It makes espresso, coffee, cappuccino, machiatto, and can also just do hot water or hot milk. The coffee is more of a long pull of espresso, so it still comes out with crema on top but more water. Everone in the office loves this machine. The buttons are pretty intuitive, and you just press the button for the drink you want, so it really is a "one-touch" machine. As an added bonus, productivity is through the roof due to the high caffination level and since we aren't wasting time wandering through the building just to get a good cup of joe. The only downside is that the machine is a little needy, with reminders to rinse every time you make a drink with milk, replace the water filter, run the cleaning cycle, etc. All of these things are necessary and driven by volume, but not something you worry about as often if you are drinking normal drip coffee.

I adore this machine!
We purchased this as a replacement for a 3 yr old Saeco (still working, but beginning to fade). It has more options than I can really keep up with, but very simple and easy at the same time; truly a one-touch latte/cappuccino of excellent quality! This machine is all plastic, and doesn't have the sturdy feel the Saeco had, but it does seem to be of a high quality regardless.

Best coffee machine ever! Love it!
Love everything about this machine ... every single cup is awesome ... all day long. It's a bit of money to buy initially ... but how much is a good coffee worth ... all day long, every day for years to come (I drink 7-8 cups a day and never feel zippy) ... we had our first Jura S9 for 10 years and then gifted it to a good friend of ours ... he'll have many happy years of great coffee. The Jura S9 isn't available anymore so we opted for the XS90 and absolutely love it!

Had two of these, they both quit after about 2 years.
At first they are wonderful, make coffee to die for. Making t difficult to drink anyones coffee but your own.Always making it great to get back home after a trip so you could sip that creama and get a real coffee taste. But alas , after a year and a half or two it will smell like it's on fire or it will start tripping the circuit.Maybe it will just start leaking water all over the place. At one point it will quit. The first one we sent back 6 times and spent more money trying to get it to work than we did when we bought it. The 2nd one we just bit the bullet and replaced the 1st one. About two years into it and a couple thousand drinks later, the cup warming plate went crazy and would just get so hot it would trip the circuit. Both of these X90's were an upgrade for a Jura-Compressa 1300 that I gave away to a Buddy, said part was that was in 2005 after taking it to Iraq for a year and it STILL works.Bottom line, should have kept the 1300 and NEVER bought an X90.

Excellent machine, but shipped very poorly compared to other retailers of same item
For moderate-traffic office use or for a kitchen where it gets very heavy use (like ours) this is an excellent machine - very good (programmable strength) coffee/espresso, good quality (warm) foam, no-(or little)-nonsense cleaning and maintenance (short of breaking it down to tighten the hoses and their joints which is where this machine breaks down). What fell far short was the way this was shipped compared to other retailers. JL Hufford and 1st in Coffee (both of whom sell this via Amazon) pack this machine's retail box in a second stronger box (the 'shelf' box is quite weak) and fill the interval space with packing matter. Amazon Services sent this one in its bare 'shelf' box, and it arrived with the box torn in multiple places, and with the water container - a large, critical component that fits along the outside edge of the machine - cracked right through. Luckily we had a water tank from a previous purchase that had broken down (this unit has kept its design long enough to make that possible) ... otherwise, we'd have been without a machine while shipping it back. Very poor shipping/quality control by Amazon services. The XS90, though, is first rate. Five stars if it hadn't been for the shipping choices made by Amazon.

Easy, delicious, caffeinated wonderments
This machine is a hit with everybody. The coffee is always perfectly fresh and it is relatively easy to use. Cleaning it is easier than a coffee pot! Be careful with how many people it is meant to serve... it is a teesy bit slow and loud. Another thing to realize is that the height is about 5 inches taller with the fresh bean holder installed at the top- making it a stand-alone piece in your office (rather than a countertop piece).
