Another great Mora
This is another great knife from Mora. Very handy, very lightweight knife. As usual, great value from Mora with great stainless steel blade sharp as a razor. This knife is identical to the 511 except for stainless instead of carbon steel blade and blue instead of red handle. The knife is also similar to the Pro S except for greater blade width and rubberized handle on the Pro S. Sheath is basic plastic but does it's job. Mora saved on production costs by not finishing the spine of the blade very well but this is easily remedied with a file or coarse sandpaper. The steel is the excellent Sandvik 12C27 stainless and I confirmed this by direct communication with Mora customer service. They also informed me that Mora will soon be switching to a cheaper stainless steel for the Craftline series so you better grab this version while you can. To quote "Today we have the Sandvik 12C27 in the 546. However, since this is the best stainless steel we can find, but also a more expensive steel, we have decided to go for almost the best instead for our Craftsmen/utility knives, which include the 546. This is a way to differentiate further between our outdoor knives and craftsmen knives to save the Sandvik steel for the outdoor range. So in the future, don't know exactly when, the steel will be a German steel that we have tested and with our heat treatment process we can make it more or less just as good as the Sandvik steel."Overall outstanding buy for a great work knife.

Great cheap knife.
I use this primarily for cutting up boxes at work. I haven't found any other brands that make as good of a sheath as Mora. There is no flap to get in the way, and the knife is secure. Considering I sheath and unsheath this thing so much, this is critical to me. This knife is also just small enough that when you pull it out to work, people are not scared of it. The Mora Companion knife (while also a great knife) appears to be just over that line and has caused a gasp or two with its slightly larger blade. Easy to sharpen, holds a decent edge, takes to stropping well, socially acceptable, and a great sheath. I also won't cry if it disappears and these are a great value for what you get. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Love it.
Love this knife. The whole thing feels strong and sturdy. The blade is thick and very strong. The handle is comfortable for my hand. It's sharp too. Great on wood. Made in Sweden and is high quality.

An excellent knife for the money. Cheap enough to use as a beater outdoor work knife without worrying about your investment.
A good serviceable fixed blade knife. I bought several of these. Two Companion models with slightly longer blades, one orange and one green and the #546 Stainless Basic Craftline, a #511 Basic Carbon Steel model, and a SS Craftline Pro model. I wanted to see and feel the differences in these models for myself and since they were all within a couple of dollars of each other, and a great price, I got one of each. I like them all. Between the shorter models I prefer the bright orange handle on the 511 Basic just for the ease of finding it should it get dropped outside in the tall grass or at night or finding it in the bottom of the emergency car kit, but I think the Craftline Pro, with the overmolded rubber grip is my favorite as far as comfort goes. Each one of the shorter ones has been added to the emergency kits in our three vehicles, you never know when you may need a good fixed blade knife in an emergency. The two Companions are for my wife and I to use around the house doing yard, garden, landscaping work. Would I choose these if I were headed off into the wilds of Alaska? I may take one along for light duty tasks, but I'd certainly choose a more robust full tang knife to take along also. By the way, they all came shaving sharp, so watch your fingers, it's not always easy to maintain a good grip on the handle while removing the knife from the sheath, another plus for the overmolded rubber grips on the Companions and the Craftline Pro. All the sheaths have a little raised area to put your thumb on for leverage when pulling the knife from the sheath, but they're not ideal.

Best Dollar Spent On Outdoor Stuff
The "Morakniv Craftline 546" is the least expensive High Quality blade in my lifetime. Built with excellent materials that stand the test of time, heavy use, nasty work and abuse, all of that while being light, handy, well-balanced and very nice looking. Some of today's BEST “Custom Knife Makers" started their businesses sharpening and re-profiling the SCANDI Designed edge of the Morakniv. The strength of this series of knives is in the excellent materials they use and the myriad number of revisions available to a modern tooled knife maker set on improving or adapting the Morakniv. But the beauty is, out-of-the-box, this knife performs very well.
