Seems to be working well.
Have had them in my tank for about 2 weeks now. I have a 10 gallon tank so I spread out and dropped 10 around the tank. Recently got about 15 new shrimp and so far all are healthy and lost none of them. I typically lose a couple, especially because I have them shipped and there is stress with a new tank, etc...PH has been pretty steady also. Shrimp and my plecca love driftwood and Cholla wood. Just added 6 new pieces of Cholla wood which can typically lower the PH and ton when you first add it. Very surprised my PH stayed pretty consistent even after adding the new wood. So it seems to be doing its job ok. Definitely hasn't hurt anything. Plus having relatively smaller tank and only needing to use about 10 of the balls per year. I"m good for like 10 years! Good deal.

Clear water
These have been the best additions to my tanks. The water has never been clearer and it has helped with balancing my water.

Good product, great quantity
Added these a few days ago to my aquarium. The shrimps seem more active and all my fish are still alive. I did soak them in water before adding, but my water turned cloudy for a few days but, it is now clear so don’t panic if it does it to your water. The PH is now on the high end (I test my water and everything was perfect before) even after doing a water change. Overall I like the product and recommend. 4/5 because of the PH change.

Likely helps with denitrification
While there are lots of claims out there about tourmaline balls (as with everything else pyro and piezoelectric), there is evidence of faster reductions in nitrates and nitrites. Search for studies on tourmaline denitrification, and nitrogen removal. Hopefully some of the other benefits out there are true too, but I couldn't verify them. It does make sense it would increase water hardness since it's rock, but I've only found anecdotes and not tests.

Good deal for the money, and they seem to have perked up my snail!
You get tons of these little balls for a very low price. I only have a 10 gallon tank, so at 1 ball per gallon and with them lasting a year, this is a ten year supply! Also as soon as I put them in the water, my nerite snail really seemed much more active. He's been zooming all over the tank ever since. I also like the way these look in the tank - they're pretty small and natural looking.

Definitely not 100 pieces
I took out half the bag and counted 28. Theres definitely not 100 of them in there. Maybe around 50-60. But on the flip side if they realy last for 12 months I have enogh to last my 3 gallon for the next 20 years. (Advangages of small tanks. Most your supplies will last for a very long time)LOL I will probably change them every 3-6 months depending on algae buildup. They add a nice touch, and they apparently help the water. So win win. They probably would of been more $ at the store for less product anyways.

Great for the health of your critters
Dissolves really slowly, especially if you keep up on tank maintenance. This is a bonus for my tanks on top of the other natural stuff I use in them. I've had no issues with moulting, breeding, sickness in my tanks for years now. I never use any chemicals.

Seams inert, no effect on water quality
Bought these over a year ago, added them to my tank, a 20 gallon. Took them out and weighed them this year, they are the same weight and size. Too bad amazon does not have a longer return policy on products like these. They did not effect my ph, I ended up adding aragonite sand to my tank instead. IMO, after researching the issues I was having and learning things I wish I knew before I bought these, these don't leach enough to do anything. They may as well be inert, the shrimp ignored them. If you need calcium and magnesium in your tank your better off adding equilibrium, aragonite, 100% Epsom salts, or some other product. If you don't have any calcium and magnesium issues, these still aren't worth it because the shrimp don't care about them anyway.
