Whitetail Institute 30-06 Mineral and Vitamin Supplement for Deer Food Plots, Provides Antler-Building Nutrition and Attracts Deer, Mineral Block, 20 lbs

I use these in georgia and the deer love them! They with paw the dirt all around and the deer traffic is insane. Going to try it at my new place in florida and see how they like it. The deer in georgia won't hit mineral blocks much in the fall/winter time. So don't get this in the middle of hunting season hoping to attract a monster. I use it more for herd health during spring and summer, to help grow that monster, and help the does, and fawns.

I think depends how hungry the animals are, sometimes they dont bother with it, but it does smell good!

I’ll be honest I’m from South Carolina. I’ve bought everything from Apple blocks to regular mineral blocks and nothing compares to the 30.06 from whitetail institute. They are literally digging up the ground to get to it. The piece of the block you seen in the picture are from the first one I put out. They dug the hole to get to what’s soaked into the ground. Over the past week we have had nonstop rain. The block held it own and didn’t melt like other said it did. I don’t know maybe they got a bad block or something. Even with the heavy rain I can go and see each day fresh prints where they keep coming back for more. If I had to compare this block to anything in this world I’d say it’s like crack for deers. This block has me excited to plant my whitetail institute clover come late summer early fall.

I put this out where the deer normally come into my yard and they actually step over or around it without giving it a second glance. They are not even remotely interested in it! Not one has taken so much as a nibble from it. Total waste of money!
