Ideal Standard 9 Inch Lever Syphon Kit

The toilet wouldn't flush and, with a bit of t'internet research, I figured that the membrane on the "one of these" had finally worn through. As the world's worst - and most reluctant - DIY-er, I figured that if I could get hold of a replacement part, I'd have a crack at it. (On the basis that a plumber would cost a fortune anyway, and they may as well be called out for a destroyed cistern.)Fast forward half an hour. Yes - only half an hour. And the job was complete. Not only that, but it flushed properly too.It came with all the necessary bits to fit various different sizes of various other things and, as you can probably tell, fitting was simplicity itself.Really good value for money.

Went in easy and works well

these aren't designed to last the plastic diaphragm is too thin and will crack and break af about 8 years, the collar on the bottom could be made larger making it easier to fit ( wouldn't have to make it so important to fit it centrally in the hole in the bottom of the cistern ), the actual carcass is well made and will last much longer than the diaphragmThese are problems with most syphons

The plastic packet contained a Thomas Dudley -Cascade + 9" syphon kit although the label stated Ideal Standard 9" SV92567. Was a bit misleading especially when on opening the syphon bore no resemblance to the one advertised on Amazon.I was replacing a syphon in an old Ideal Standard Alto compact cistern. Luckily this Dudley syphon fitted.The description on Amazon could be more precise along with a correct photo.

My toilet wouldnt flush and after checking dr google, i thought the issue was that my syphon needed replacing. I followed a youtube video and replaced my syphon with this, no problem. Saved myself a fortune inPlumbers fees. thank you!

It was easy to fit but it doesn't give a full flush . Not sure if I've done something wrong or it's designed like it .

It replaced the damaged syphon that was fitted as standard , the original syphon was an 11” model and I was told a 9” would not work, but I took a chance and it works perfectly, in fact better than the original. The syphon it’s self is easy to fit but if like my cistern yours is a close coupled model you need to be a bit careful dismantling and refitting the tank
