I like targus backpacks because I believe they are well made. I have had a few. They usually last for a few years and I use them every day. This I think is one of the best. It is made out of a thicker material. The carry handle is thick and durable. The straps are thick and padded and durable. The zippers are probably the best I've ever seen on anything with zippers. They open very smoothly, they are the best I have ever seen, and don't feel like they will separate easily. The zipper grabs are full metal so they arent going to rip or come off easily. They do make a sound when moving like change or when walking which is a little annoying, but a small tradeoff for higher quality. The bag itself has all kinds of good and even secret like little pockets. It also has a built in headphone jack with cord inside with an ipod pocket. It doesn't fit my note 3 but would easily fit smaller phones or other devices. Overall it feels a little smaller than other bags I have gotten but those may have been for 17 inch laptops not 16 so it may not be an equal comparison. I may get one for each of my kids because they are rough on bags and kids bags are never durable. I can't recommend it enough. My last bag was a gift of a 31 bag. The grab handle ripped off the first time I lifted it. The fabric zipper grabs pulled off and finally it split a seam. I used it for only a couple months. Then I got this. SO MUCH BETTER.

This is the perfect "commuter pack". Perfect size/fit for all compact electronic accessories, as well as those few extra items - magazines, files, lunch, etc. - that you'll need over the course of a day. If you like a multitude of pockets in your backpack, the Legend delivers here too, with two lower, two upper, and two side pockets (as well as the main carrying space, of course). Larger lower pocket has a zippered sub-folder inside as well; great for stashing stuff you absolutely can't lose. Not sure if you can use this as an "overnight bag" as folders within main compartment take up a lot of space; maybe if you are going to be wearing the same shoes & jeans the next day... Pack is sturdy and can take a beating (as I am dropping it on buses, subways, and office floors constantly, while yanking it up from the straps); and it rides better on my shoulders/ back than backpacks costing twice the money, with fantastic weight distribution. So why does it lose a half a star? A few small quibbles: -two lower pockets only have one zipper; if your items shift while in transit, they can fall out upon opening the pocket... -side pockets can barely fit in the standard 16.9 inch water bottle. I mean, it does fit, but the compartment must be stretched/fitted around it. I think you could have made this 1/2 an inch bigger and still kept this a compact bag... -top pocket - the "sunglass" pocket as some people call it - also needs another 1/2 inch to hold today's glasses (and wallets). Again, as this pockets falls into the main compartment, an extra 1/2 inch would have made a big difference without compromising the compact design. Nevertheless - a great bag, and one I would recommend / buy again!

In my opinion, this is one of the best values you can get in a daily carry bag for a 15.6 laptop. I purchased this bag as a replacement for the Targus IQ Legend I carried to and from the office for 7 years. My original bag was like the one pictured on the Amazon page (up top), but the new one I received is a different (updated) design. Given the choice, I liked the old design better, but this is still a nice bag. I purchased my original IQ Legend from Amazon, too. It had the same model number as this new design. I would not necessarily recommend this as a travel bag, unless you are using it for day trips, as the laptop compartment is integrated in the main compartment of the bag and separated by a padded divider/sleeve. Here are the major changes I have seen from the original design: The Positive - The compartments on the front of the bag are a bit larger than the original and better organized. In addition, a zippered passport (or phone, wallet, etc.) pocket has replaced the original open pocket on the very front of the bag, which was basically useless. Finally, the phone/music player with the earphone jack compartment is now accessible without opening the main compartment. It has its own zippered pocket located on the top of the bag behind the main compartment. It has much more room than the original. I use it to store my sunglasses and can fit can fit my sunglasses and a spare pair of my regular glasses in the pocket. The Negative - The main compartment of the new bag is a bit smaller than the original design, which is my biggest gripe. Previously, I had plenty of room to pack my laptop, laptop brick, power cords, a notebook (the writing kind), a couple of bottles of water, and my lunch with a little room to spare. Now, it is a much tighter tight fit - to the point that I can feel the difference thru the bag when it is on my back. That being said, I am happy with this bag and will continue to carry it. If it has the staying power of the original, I will be retired before I need another one.

Excellent backpack. Strong thick material. Good seems. Strong zippers. No bad sewing or flaws could be found. Comfortable to wear, snug fitting, straps comfortable. It does hang a bit low on the back. Which means it stays put and is secure. It medium thick, which is what I wanted, and holds all my gear, coat, books, tech. Lots of pockets, and dividers in main pocket. The padded and lined laptop pocket is raised a bit, so it doesn't hit the bottom of the pack. Good design. I haven't tried the in-design audio plug. I use wireless headphones. I am throughly please with my new daily comuter backpack. It's been abused and is holding its shape perfectly.

Zaino semplicemente spettacolare. Non è molto grande ma capiente, buona fattura, rifinito molto bene, bello da vedere!!! Ergonomico, portato sulle spalle aderisce bene alla schiena, molto comodo!!! Rispecchia tutte le mie esigenze : (uso questo zaino tutti i giorni per andare al lavoro) 1. Cinque tasche esterne con chiusura a zip. ( per avere a portata di mano oggetti che uso frequentemente: in particolare la tasca anteriore grande in basso è dotata di un gancetto per le chiavi, piccole taschine a rete e no, una tasca con zip,) 2. Nella parte alta dello zaino, vicino la maniglia troverete un allogamento per gli occhiali , un po piccolo, ma i miei occhiali da vista ci stanno comodamente ( senza custodia). 3. Al interno trovi una piccola tasca per MP3 e un comodo cavetto al quale potete collegare i vostri dispositivi di riproduzione. Sulla bretella troverete connettore per le cuffie. Altra bretella è dotata di un anello elastico dove posiamo infilare gli occhiali da sole. 4. Tre scomparti interni. Abbastanza ampi ma il zaino e profondo e perciò si riesce infilare tante cose. Consiglio vivamente questo zaino a chi come me ha bisogno di un zaino da usare tutti i giorni, comodo da portare, non grande ma abbastanza capiente, elegante e nello stesso tempo sportivo! Bello, bello, bello - è stato un ottimo acquisto!!!! Spedizione rapidissima prima dei tempi stabiliti dal venditore!
