Great product
Love this backpack and I use it everyday. It is replacing the one I had for over ten years which finally wore out. Has lots of space and functionality and is made of high quality materials.

The Backpack That’s Ready for College, Climbing, and Maybe Even Saving the World
Alright folks, let me give a shout-out to the Oakley Kitchen Sink Backpack in Stealth Black – the ultimate game-changer for my son’s college life and climbing escapades. This isn’t just any backpack; it’s like the Swiss Army knife of bags, but cooler and with way more style.First off, this thing is so sleek in Stealth Black, it’s practically a fashion statement. It makes every other backpack look like it’s stuck in the past. My son’s using it for college, and it’s like he’s got his own personal command center on his back. It fits textbooks, snacks, and all his other college essentials like a charm, and he still has room for a surprise or two – like a spare hoodie or a random climbing rope. But wait, there’s more! This backpack isn’t just for schlepping books; it’s also perfect for his climbing adventures. It’s tough enough to handle the rigors of scaling indoor walls and rugged enough to survive a few bumps and scrapes along the way. With its pockets and compartments, he’s got a spot for everything – from his carabiners to his chalk bag. It’s like it was made for someone who’s constantly on the move and needs a bag that can keep up with both campus life and climbing missions. In a nutshell, the Oakley Kitchen Sink Backpack is more than just a bag – it’s a lifestyle upgrade. Five stars for making my son look like he’s ready for anything, whether it’s acing a test, scaling a rock wall, or just looking way cooler than anyone else on campus. If you need a bag that can handle it all and still look stealthy, this is your go-to!

Outstanding bag
I used to use sling bass, briefcases, tactical " day packs" and school backpacks for work. Something was always wrong whether it be durability on comfort, on just didn't fit everything I need. Zippers, color, durability, materials, ease of access, and style. This backpack has everything I ever wanted and more. This über pack will hold everything you need. Here's the most important part for an old soldier with back problems: weight distribution. The straps and the fit are perfect ergonomically, and fits everything I put in my briefcase, first did kit, cad tech bag, while if feels like I'm only carrying a small laptop on my back. If you're serious about your bag, the Oakley kitchen sink is your next backpack. Forever.

Awesome pack
Absolutely the best backpack I have ever owned. Sent my son to college with one lasted 4 years and still going. My first one is 8 years old and still in great shape. Daily use and traveling all over the world

Over built and edgy look / pricey because of the O badges
After a year of carrying daily , i still love the look and size of this bag . I also like that it blends in while also standing out if that makes sense . If i had one complaint if would be better / wider straps . As much as i love the bag , i would not pay the going price for it . Its simply not worth the everyday going price in my opinion . Yes its an over built bag and that in itself a good thing . The fact that it carries oakley badges means you gonna pay extra for it which is to be expected ... catch it on sale or look at other bags in its price range . For 2.5 hundy it is a bit pricy , i caught it 40 % off .

Near perfect, but with one fatal flaw…
I’ma long time Oakley fan, so I’m hoping to write with respect for a great company which very nearly created the single best consumer priced pack of all time. Before mentioning the fatal flaw, let me acknowledge the good points.1. In terms of durability & space, I can’t imagine that any but the most expensive or professional military / LE products would surpass the Kitchen Sink. I do prefer double zipper-pulls for every curved or longer zipper, but in this case, I’ll overlook the preference (the main section has double zipper-pulls, so to insist on every nitpicking preference would be unfair).2. This pack has every specific compartment, pocket, & section you will ever need (& several in the middle compartment which are well padded against inadvertent damage.3. The side zipper for access to the padded computer pocket is a nice feature (but I’d like to be able to lock it to a metal / ABS ring to prevent surreptitious access, but there goes my obsessive attention to minor matters again, huh?).4. I absolutely LOVE the dual metal buckles with quick release straps, with rings attached with a metal cable sewn into the lid (!); professional products should pay attention to the security of such a design. Interestingly, the squared-off metal ring protruding from the front of the pack may seem to be decorative only, but I can think of many ways in which these may be used (I’m a ham operator and do POTA, Field Day, and Fox Hunts, requiring a number of peculiar points of attachment of equipment, such as coiled coax, long wire antennas, etc. which would be hung from these rings and NOT TAKE UP SPACE—pardon the excited shouting—within the pack)5. There’s plenty of room for hiking shoes / boots OR dirty / wet clothes in the bottom zippered compartment (& I do mean, plenty of room, although I’m not sure the enclosing fabric is waterproof and therefore odor-preventative).6. Is you are an Oakley eyewear (or other premium—Ray-Ban, etc.) eyewear user, you will be very grateful to the attention Oakley built into this pack to protect your eyewear investment, in the top zipped compartment with is softly lined and has a hard shell over to prevent the kind of inadvertent smashing of expensive eyewear. Nobody, but nobody, does it better.7. Finally, if the shoulder straps and back protection / padding (as well as waist & chest straps) are inadequate or poorly designed, it ain’t worth the cost. But, that is not what you get with the Kitchen Sink; this is one of the most comfortable packs / rucks I’ve ever worn.It was a HUGE disappointment to send it back for one fatal flaw: Top flap (which is otherwise profoundly well-designed to protect eyewear):Remember the metal buckles and metal-cable attachment rings I loved on in #4, above? Well, the curved design of attaching that top compartment with the metal cable prevents the full easy-opening of the main compartment.Oh, you can >> HOLD << it open, but if (like me) you need two hands to insert even a small ham radio transceiver and a hardback 3-ring notebook of necessary technical information about the event operation, and insertion of another thin padded case holding the iPad, etc. (the logging computer has its own place and is already securely placed), it’s just unwieldy, at best. If the top cover opened in a straight line to let it stay open while loading the pack, this pack would still be in my possession! It was difficult for me to make the necessary decision (and I took several days to decide), but the ultimate decision was to return it, but give the best and most complete review possible, under the circumstances. If your needs are not directly parallel to mine, this may be the best pack purchase you’ll ever make. It is easily competitive to packs selling at twice the price—I’ve tried and used many of them. What I ended up purchasing is not pertinent to this review. Let the Kitchen Sink stand on its own merit.
