proper fit but not what ordered
The product I received was not the product I ordered came in the proper box but the pump had the factory style plug which would have been fine but my truck already had newer style flat plug . This does not even appear to be an airtex product. The box itself looked as though its been pulled from a dumpster

No picture and information sketchy
I normally don't buy an auto part without having the old part in my hand and visually inspecting the new part. I don't know how many times I've returned home with the wrong part.I bought from Amazon this time instead of my local parts store because I saved $100, even with next day shipping. I was relying on Amazon's reputation and their no hassle return policy if it didn't work out.The pump turned out to be the right model and packaged decently and even arrived the next day which impressed me. However, it did not come with a hole for the pressure sensor switch, although it had a mounting clip and an indentation where the hole should have been. It was a not so simple matter of drilling a hole into plastic and not ruining it. Of course, I didn't figure all this out until I had the pump installed and tested. When it came up with a check engine code I knew the second connector on the old pump was not an unused option.It's been working for a few days now with no problems. I just wish they had better pictures and more information available when I placed the order. It could have turned into a disaster.

Airtex fuel pump 2000 2500 Chevy Crew Cab
Very good deal,shipped quickly, price much lower than local parts stores. The worst part of replacement is getting fuel lines unhooked, I did not have proper retainer release tools. Don't bother trying the cheap Chinese tools from Advance Auto Parts, they have two sets, but none are proper size for Chevy lines. Had to rewire wiring plug on truck for newer improved hookup, no big problem. Would recommend.

But made in USA and built better then most pumps
If the sending unit would be calibrated right, it would work. But at a half a tank it reads almost empty! But made in USA and built better then most pumps.
