Pons 510A - Avarca Classic Style Metallic

I ordered my size, size 8 (38) and initially, these gold Avarca Pons sandals fit just right. Looked very nice on. I wore these sandals about six-seven times in normal conditions (dry weather) and they have stretched out so much that they literally fall off my feet when I try to wear them. The leather has stretched out so much! Ugh! So very disappointing. I have submitted a request to return and am waiting for a response from the company to see if they "approve" and accept the return of these defective sandals.Update: The company, Avarcas USA, denied my return because I did not request return within 30 days. So, I have owned these sandals for two and a half months, wore them six to seven times, and can NO LONGER WEAR them because they stretched out so much they literally fall off my feet (I have a size 8B foot, not wide, not slim, just average). I would not be returning them if I could continue to wear them. I would not recommend these sandals and I would not recommend this company's products. I will file an Amazon A-to-z Guarantee claim and see if they can help. So unhappy.

Sooooo in love with these! I was hesistant on the size at first, because generally I use a size 39 UK (I am a true US 8) but since I read that they stretch I decided to go with the UK 38 and they fit beautifully. The color is so vibrant and they are so comfortable! Already looking into getting another pair.

I love the materials. This is the perfect medium brown. Super soft. The heel strap feels loose but the ankle strap keeps the shoe on and is comfortable. I probably wouldn’t buy the heel strap only version because I doubt very much that it would stay on. I love the buckle, seems sturdy and there is no elastic involved. They are true to size. I would give 5 stars but I need to see how durable/comfortable they are after a few all day wears. Considering taking them on our vacation this summer that will involve a lot walking.

Pons are a perfect walking sandal - if you don't need arch support. I've had the regular kind with the heel strap and now this kind with the ankle strap, and I prefer the ankle strap version. The heel strap never stayed up for me- but I'm between shoe sizes. I have the size 8 in both pairs, but my feet are more like a 7.75, so the heel strap always slips off. No such problem with the ankle strap! They stay on and are really comfortable and cute. Highly recommend for a comfortable, cute walking sandal.

Love these sandals! I have boxy feet, so I wear anywhere from a 9-10. Based on the reviews I bought these in size 9, and they are perfect! They were a tad snug the first time I wore them, but were easy to break in. Plus, the toe is open, but you can’t actually see your toenails while wearing them, so it’s okay to skip that pedi! My new favorites! I will say, the “tan” color was much, much lighter than I’d expected. Almost the same color as my pasty skin, which is anything but tan!

I got these in matte black. From what I read about this brand I expected really high quality shoes. The leather on these is really thin, and the strap squeaked loudly for the first month or so that I was wearing them. They are cute, though the ankle strap fits a little weirdly. If I were going to reorder I would get the original kind without the ankle strap. The way you can see the toes through the front is a little awkward looking in my opinion. I do wear them, just not nearly as much as I hoped that I would want to.

These run quite large and the bronze is a more pliable material so it is a bit loose. The back strap does not stay on so essentially you are wearing a slip on with no strap. These are beautifully made - the craftsmanship really shows but I was not able to make them work for me.

I have been wanting these sandals for so long and I'm so glad I finally ordered them! I'm usually a 7 1/2 but ordered a 7 and they are perfect. I hate my feet so I love that they don't show your toes.
