Half of my home is hard floored and for years I’d stuck with different versions of power mops and an old fashioned mop and bucket to clean my floors. I’d always been put off by steam mops as I have Amtico flooring in my living room but actually read an article online that said you could use this if you had the steam on its lowest setting. After reading that I thought I’d give this a go….It’s brilliant - It cleans my tiled kitchen floor effortlessly and hasn’t had any adverse affect on my Amtico either when on the lowest setting. Minimal water left on the floor after cleaning is also a bonus (especially with Amtico) so I’m very happy.The machine itself was easy to set up and simple to use.

When this mop works, it is brilliant. However I bought one January 2022, which stopped steaming after 4 weeks. I have since had three replacements and each has failed in exactly the same way. I use distilled water and empty after each use, but they still stop working after a short while. (One didn't work on receipt). Have had to ask for refund as fed up with keep returning to Shark. To be fair, Shark have been responsive, and as I said it is really effective when working. I may have been unlucky and just got a series of lemons, but appears there is a valve that regularly fails on these models.
