Worked 1 out of every 20 times the dog barked. All these 5 start reviews is ridiculous.

works for us!
Adopted a 7 month old puppy who decided that each squirrel he sees in or around our yard (or any animal for that matter) should be barked at continuously. It is frustrating and annoying, so we bought this collar. He is very small (will probably max out at 19 lbs), and I was happy to see the velcro tie that was included. Most of the collar is folded up and secured with it, and fits him well. The directions should be corrected, because it states that while charging, it blinks red, then goes off when charging is completed. Instead, we have found that the light blinks while charging, then changes to SOLID RED when complete. The unit charges quickly, and lasts for about a week when used all day, every day. Also, because this little dog has very long hair, we use a thin sock across the back of his neck to affix the collar, so we don't snap in and catch it in the collar. Once clipped, we just pull the sock out from behind the collar - works great! His hair is so long, we forget he's wearing it, and once forgot to take it off when we kenneled him for the night - oops!Bottom line, although he still barks, whines, cries, etc. at stuff, he will stop, and it's much, much quieter when he's out in the yard. We did have to switch to stimulation, because the vibration just wasn't enough to get his attention. We have it set to 3, and it does the job quite efficiently. Glad we found it!

Works great!
Purchased this for our two nearly 20lb dogs. Product was packaged really nice. There was more than enough collar length (I cut about 6 inches off) Directions were simple and easy to follow. Love that it has 3 separate modes beeps, vibrate and shock. You can choose just beep, just beep and vibrate or you can choose beep...then vibrate...then shock. I found that with my one dog after the first shock experience, I only need to now use the beep and vibrate mode. As for my other dog (4 yr old sheepoo) he received one shock and now if I just show him the collar he doesn't even think about barking. In fact if he hears the beep while its on our other dog he will go lay in his bed. Overall I think this was a great value and liked all the options it provided over some of the other collars on the market. I do not leave it on the dog, just if they he starts barking incessantly. Usually just having it back on for about 30 minutes reminds him that the constant barking is not acceptable. I don't want the dogs to never bark but to learn when to bark and this seems to be a great tool for us to be able to work with them on that since it immediately corrects them. My neighbors are happier as well.

Actually Worked
So we got a couple small dogs and for a dog so small she has a really loud high pitched bark. So I got this to see if it would work, I must admit i was a little doubtful because she barks at everything. So i left it on for a good three or four hours only on beep and vibrate and i could tell that she thought it was annoying, But right away she started barking less and less and by the rime i took it off she hadn't barked at all for awhile. I think she knew what was up because once I took it off she started barking again but i'm gonna try it everyday and sooner or later she'll get to where she don't bark anymore. I tried to take a picture a picture with her wearing it but she is camera shy and would not let me get a good picture. It was packaged very nicely and the instruction were written very well and easy to understand made the set up very easy. The collar does adjust to any size dog but since my dog is very small it had a lot of excess color left over but all you got to do is cut it and then burn the end to stop it from fraying. Overall great bark collar for the price and in my experience it actually worked!!!

Works for my pups and those I dog-sit
I bought this when my last bark collar, which I used for my Jack Russell who is aggressive, broke. I wanted something to humanely alert my dog to the fact that the incessant barking/snarling is not ok, but I didnt want him to NEVER be able to bark. This allows a few barks, to which it responds with sound and/or vibration, then there is a setting that will administer a shock if it continues. My Jack was only shocked a couple times before he realized that he can only bark a bit if he doesn't want a shock. Now he always stops after the tone/vibration and never gets to the shock. It has worked beautifully for us. It has also worked on dogs that I dog-sit, who are incessant barkers. I cant speak to durability as I've only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good. The key with these types of collars is to keep them fully charged to keep them as sensitive/effective as possible. Basically I try to remember to remove the collar and charge it overnight every couple of days. Also make sure the fit is appropriate. Too loose won't work. I'm buying another for backup. If it fails at some point, I'll update my review but so far - it's great.

It's working!
I have a 3 generation German Shepherd/Husky fur family; momma, son and grandson. One of them has middle child syndrome bad. LOL! He is very vocal and I think just enjoys hearing himself bark. I don't mind that they bark, after all that's what dogs do but he was becoming a borderline nuisance barker with nonstop barking mostly at the other 2 dogs. I decided to purchase this collar and set on vibration to help detour so much barking. I really like it because this collar does allow for a moment of barking and when barking continues, the collar emits a long, high pitch beep tone as a warning and if barking still continues, the collar will vibrate. The vibration setting alone seemed to be detouring the nuisance barking after just the first day. Doubt I will ever use the shock setting on this collar for him. I have noticed that I do not need to put collar on him every day but he does fall into the nuisance barking if I leave it off for more than 2 days. I am hopeful that when not barking at the other 2 dogs becomes more normal for him, he will no longer need the collar.
