Used at Disney World - worked great
This thing is great. It's very basic. The leash part is only about 3 feet long, so you're not feeling like you could trip people if you let your child roam. The part that goes on the child is sort of a slip knot. My 2.5 year old was able to figure out how to get his wrist out, but it took awhile and he had to be sitting to do it. It was fairly comfortable and it certainly was no where near as hot as wearing one of the backpack harnesses would be. He has one, but when we were testing it out before our trip, he kept complaining about how hot it was and that he felt stuck in it. This is just a piece of material on the wrist. If I suggested one thing to change, I would say make the material that is wrapped around the child's wrist smoother, maybe cover it in cotton. We could leave this on him when he sat in the stroller. He felt like he was the one leading me around more than anything. We used it mainly as a backup. I still held his hand, but if his arm got tired or he slipped out of my hand, we had this to fall back on. So glad we used it!

I've never been a fan of "Kid Leashes" but was super concerned about this trip
So I purchased this before taking my toddler cousin to a water park, as well as a few other places during a vacation. She is one of those kids who disappears if she leaves your sight for a second. I've never been a fan of "Kid Leashes" but was super concerned about this trip, and seeing as we were going to a water park, I was glad to find this instead of one of the backpack/harness setups. When I saw my cousin, I told her I got us a "friendship bracelet," and that we both needed to keep it on to stay together. She LOVED the idea! She actually would make me wear my end with her at the hotel and in the car! This product works really well too, the end that slips over the child's hand is adjustable, it has a plastic piece that loosens/tightens with ease and doesn't get too tight on their little wrists. I was able to keep my cousin wearing it through almost the whole vacation, until someone mentioned, "Good idea, putting your kid on a leash!" She had had it after that. So, altogether, the product itself is awesome. The usefulness of it may depend on who you're using it for.

Leash allows independance but safety for crowded areas.
We bought two of these to use for our trip to disney. They worked great in different ways. First, my 5 yr old used it around her wrist like a bracelet and would always be quick to hand me the other end if I let go. She loved being able to walk 3 ft from me but still be attached. And when she occasionally threw a fit or wanted to go somewhere without us, the leash stopped her.Second, we used it around the chest of our almost 2 yr old. He didn't like sitting in the stroller the whole time so when he was able to get down and walk, he had a harness. We could walk behind him with the leash fastened around his chest. Some reviewers said their child was able to undo it and slip it off, and I was worried about that before I got it. Although you can put it on a few different ways to avoid this. You can fasten it around their chest under their armpits with the fastener in the back. Or you can put it around their wrist and then pin a safety pin on one side of the fastner so it cannot be loosened. This product worked for us, it is a simple leash with about a 3 ft lead on it.

Decent product
I swore that I would never get one of those leashes or harnesses, but after a scary incident where my toddler ran through security and almost got hit by a security cart, we looked into wrst to wrist harnesses to assist us eith the airport. Typically my toddler is good about holding hands and not running away but at the airport, our hands can sometimes be preoccupied and he gets so excited about seeing the airplanes.I don't like the leashes or harnesses because i feel that jerking a kid around the neck is the same as treating your kid like a dog or pet on a leash. At least with a wrist to wrist, it feels more like holding hands. Snce receiving this product, we have used it a handful of times at the airport and it does it's work. Our toddler treats it the same as if we were holding hands and I'm still able to maneuver around decently. My complaint is that I wish that it had a neater way of being rolled up and stored.

Great for theme parks
I bought this wrist band/tether for my 7 year old for use at Disney World. Even though that may seem too old to use something like this, he does like to run off ahead on his own when he sees something that interests him and I didn't want to end up getting separated from him by the crowds. I liked this product because it was something that was not a stuffed animal backpack that was much too young for him at this age. What I liked most whas that the length allowed him to mostly just walk next to me and I didn't have to have a sweaty death grip on his hand the entire time. The only issue I had with this product is that it tightens up horribly if the child pulls away from you - in a way this is a good deterrent from pulling away from you but on the other hand I was constantly loosening it because I didn't want it to hurt his wrist from being too tight. I wished that it had an actual velcro bracelet at the child's end. Many times I looped it through his belt loop which was covered by his shirt instead of his wrist which worked very well for us. When I didn't need it (restaurants, stores, times when we weren't walking in large crowds, etc.) I just took my end off my wrist and tucked the strap in his pocket. Worked like a charm. Overall I was very happy with it, it was inexpensive, looked just the way I wanted it to (not like something a baby would have), and it definitely kept him with me and did its job! Very glad I purchased this and it was a life saver at times to have both use of my hands without having to hold his hand the entire 5 days we were at Disney!

This is AMAZING! I never thought I’d be this kind of ...
This is AMAZING! I never thought I’d be this kind of a parent, but it turns out I am. Two year olds are just too unpredictable and I’m always paranoid when I take him out for short walks without the stroller...little kids can slip from your grip in two seconds and since we live in a very busy city, I shiver at the thought of what might happened if he ran into the street. So this product is the perfect solution. He got used to it by the third time we put it on and it’s much less ‘dog like’ than the harness type tethers. You can hold hands like normal and just have this as a safety. LOVE IT. Our nanny is not allowed to take our son out on walks anymore without this.

10/10 Perfectly made, NO embarrassing leash effect.
This is great, I like it because it was like holding their hand instead of the leash effect that I find embarrassing. I looped it into my belt loop so I had both hands free to carry my child or set her down depending on what worked for us. Used it at Disneyland and it worked perfect. I recommend this product for keeping little ones nearby!

Safety first!
I bought 2 of these to make sure I always have one handy. He's at the age when they want to walk and not be in the stroller all the time and this keeps him safe.
