I bought the Akribos XXIV Explorer Mens Casual Watch - Sunburst Effect Dial - Quartz Movement - Leather Strap because I was looking for a great looking watch that kept good time at a fair price. I enjoy watches that show the day and date. This watch shows the day in a window above 6 o'clock and the date in an interesting semicircle on the top, with a red arrow pointing to the date. The second hand is red The watch was easy to set and keeps very good time with the quartz movement. The sunburst effect is more pronounced on the top half of the watch and is very subtle. The black leather band is of good quality. I got a nice looking day date watch with a very interesting design fr under $40. This was a great buy.

When I received this watch, the battery was dead. Now, it is going to cost almost as much to have the battery professionally replaced as the watch cost. I wish I could return it. It NOT what I expected.

First of all it was supppsedly on a sale(90% off) which puts the price on 50$. After looking around the web, I found that was the regular price.Either way for 50$ it is an excellent watch with a good look.Lifetime warranty is always good.The nob on the side might be a little too large.

Delivered and would not work when opened.
