Excellent! Best travel stone for severe edge rebuilding - can make a knife out of a spoon.
Absolutely Excellent. I have almost all the DMT stones, of all grits and sizes, but when heading off to Asia for a year back packing I wanted an ultralight travel kit. I took this XX Coarse stone, and the fine (red) one, and a bit of leather. With these two stones, you can turn the most blunted rusted cleaver, or a teaspoon, into something you can shave with. This extra extra course will enable you to turn almost anything into a knife, with a little patience.

Extra Extra Coarse Not Good
I have an extra coarse DMT sharpener and it works really well. The extra extra coarse however seems to slide right over the blade that I'm trying to sharpen, it doesn't "bite into" the steel the way the other does. It has a slippery feel and doesn't do much. I'm a long time fan of DMT products, but not this model in extra extra coarse.

Bad quality control, stone isn’t flat.

Dimensions are not correct.
The sharpener is 1/2 longer than advertised. It wouldn’t fit in my KME so I could never use it.
