6" x 1" Venev Dual Side Bonded Diamond Set (3 stones, 6 grits)

So far these stones are great they cut very fast and the feedback is great. I did lap the 800/1200 on my 300 grit 2x6 diamond plate. It resulted in a smoother finish on the stone then from the factory. The grit rating on these runs off of the Russian system and they are a little finer compared to Japanese rating system. They leave a great scratch pattern and I am really impressed with these stones. The 800/1200 stone leaves an extremely fine finish with nice mirror polish.I have honed both knives and my straight razor on these 1x6’s. I really like the aggression I get off of the 400 stone for my edc pocket knives. These stones tear through steels like CPM-4v around 64hrc REX45 around 65 hrc, M390, and D2 with no problems.As for the straight razor I was using a Spyderco ultrafine as my finishing stone. I decided to try these to see how the shave was. I started with the 400 stone and set my edge then worked through 800 and 1200 stone finishing with a 1micron then jumped to 0.125 on my strop. This has been the smoothest shave I have got so far. I also have an edgepro guided system and with an addition of a drillstop collar to the guide rod the stones are compatible and work great. A great deal for the money. I will be purchasing the larger bench stones in the future.

Haven’t put these to hard use yet but in my limited uses they have sharpened quickly and got near to a mirror finish. Slightly concerned that the coarsest grit may be wearing quickly. Will keep an eye on it and update my review if it becomes a problem.
