Materials are cheap, instructions are pretty useless, functions are minimal, volume control is from disco to deadly silence with nothing in between.Would not take a recording from sd card and only holds a couple of minutes of recording from memory stick. Very expensive for very little.

The device is supposed to detects physical movement through a PIR system and should generate a large noise on detection of such a movement. However, it is made of substandard materials and does not work as designed most of the time.The product comes in a box, also containing the base for mounting to the wall. No Screws were supplied inside the box to fix it.The device itself looks like it is made of cheap materials which has not been assembled properly. It looks really flimsy and will probably not survive a small fall.Once installed, it looks decent and does not look so cheap from far away.It does detect movement and emits sound from its speaker. The different sounds can be loaded from a memory card or a USB drive which are not supplied.The sound signal emitted is decent for a small room but is not loud enough for an open area or a bigger shop. The sound distorts quite a lot if you choose the highest volume level.In terms of accuracy, it is not very accurate in detecting the movements as well. Although the range mentioned is quite large but it doesnt always work at the boundaries of that range and is a bit hit and miss.Overall, I think this is a good idea which is let down by cheap materials and flimsy build

This item is designed for indoor use since it is not waterproofIt has an infrared sensor which will work in the dark and can be used to play a recorded message on sensing movement.It doesn't require any software , has an inbuilt 4mb flash memory and will support a small 2G SD card for playing a longer recorded message.It has 10 levels of volume control to cater for most venuesThe sensor is well made and easy to set up.

I ordered this motion sensor to leave loving messages to dogs when I'm at work.Arrived next day in good condition.Unable to turn on or power up - supplied with 2 pin plug and couldn't get to work with UK adaptor.No memory card supplied despite one needed.Unable to comment on unit working as I have not be able to get it to work.Overall, nice idea needs to be supplied with UK connections / plugs for UK market.I would not recommend this product.

So as usual the parcel arrived safely and quickly. The speaker comes in a large cardboard box and includes a power supply and scant instructions that have been photocopied or cheaply printed on a piece of A4. It will lay flat, can be wall mounted or will stand upright with the sensor at the base.Sadly, in my opinion, this product does not have much going for it. There is even a randomly placed sticker (pic 1) that is all askew and partly covering the speaker vents. Just poorly thought through, I am afraid.Firstly, the power supply does not have a UK plug (pics 4-5). This is not acceptable for a product sold in the UK. The plug fitting is 2 pin and integrated into the transformer and therefore one does not even have the option to retro-fit the correct type of plug. I have various adapters and was able to power it up to test it but the fitting supplied was very loose even in my EU plug adapter. It was effectively unusable other than in test conditions.Okay, not a good start and now on to the sound. The speaker is compatible with MP3 files and a 32gb SD card according to the instructions. I used a 128gb micro SD card, I happened to have, in an adapter and it seemed to work okay. There is also a USB slot but I did not try using that (pic 2). I downloaded a couple of music files and used voice recorder to make some 'public service' messages. Well the speaker works. First problem is the volume. It adjusts from a whisper to as loud as I would ever play music in a single click of the volume button and then goes very much louder. This might be okay in a field or airport lounge but it is not much use in a house or classroom, for example. The next problem is that although the speaker sounds really quite good in the middle and treble ranges, the bass response is poor and nothing in that register sounds accurate or natural. This is, I assume, not intended to be a music playing device so perhaps the sound quality would not really an issue for its intended use. Certainly, voice messages are clear enough and loud enough if you do not mind having your ears blown off. The third problem is this speaker and in particular its transformer plug are not waterproof and therefore shouldn't be used outside if there is any chance of moisture getting in. So perhaps better to assume it is not suitable for outdoor use.In use, it works more or less as per specification and as described in what few instructions there are. You put your SD card in the slot (pic 2) and power it up (pic 3) and it says 'hi there!' very loudly and begins to play what ever is on the card. There are 2 modes A and B. In B one message/audio file is looped over and over. In A all the audio files on the card are looped and played in sequence but the sequence did not seem to correspond to the order the files were on the card. For some reason it started in the middle. There are 4 buttons and 2 control volume and copy mode and 2 control modes A and B and next/previous file navigation (pic 2).Sadly, you cannot turn it off other than by waiting for it to time out or by switching it off. There appears to be no adjustment to the time interval it stays on. The only control you have is through the length and number of files you put on the card and by switching it off.The application I had envisaged for this was to provide commentary/mood music in a room for visitors say. Well in that context and set up correctly it could work quite well. I would still like to have better, finer volume adjustment but to be fair it would probably be okay. The problem is that I can also think of plenty of other/better solutions and this would not be one of them. It could also work to give warning messages loudly. Certainly the sensor works well enough.So a potentially good product that would work in some real world situations quite well. But, and it is a big but!, it needs to have the correct UK transformer plug and needs to be tweaked to allow more fine adjustment of the volume. A mute, stop or pause switch would also be useful, if not essential. As such it would get 4 stars. However, as it currently exists it gets 2 stars and it is hard to recommend this product.

The media could not be loaded.  I know this speaker is the exact same as the screambox Halloween speaker but of course doesn't come loaded with Halloween screams as the scream version does but unfortunately can only be bought abroad with the shipping being more than the unit .. anyway after reading the reviews I was on the fence but thought sod it I will try it ... First thing yes it does come with a two pin plug but having saved a few old 3 pin 12volt ones I knew I would have one that would would work fine . That was the first hurdle and a easy fix ... The hardest part is getting the MP3 files on however after a few attempts I tried a different online convertor and realized this was indeed the issue I'm also lucky enough to have a bit of editing software on my pc which also works fine see video for some chain link zombie sounds 👍.. the motion sensor is good and does not miss and the sound volume is plenty . I will be making a outside cover as of course this was purchased for Halloween.I have only managed to get one file on at a time but I can make these upto 30mins each although a couple of mins will be more suited for my purpose I would have liked to be able to get several on but have not manage this as of yet but still I can now transfer the files easily as I have it sussed 👍
