Plug-and-Play Dashcam Power Solution for My 2019 Toyota Tundra!
This Dongar Dash Cam Power Adapter was exactly what I needed to install my dashcam in my 2019 Toyota Tundra without the hassle of hardwiring or using fuse taps. It plugs directly into the back of the rearview mirror, making the whole setup super clean and professional-looking—no dangling wires or exposed connections. The install took under 5 minutes. It’s literally plug-and-play. The adapter fit perfectly into the Tundra’s 12-pin mirror harness, and the USB connection powered my dashcam immediately. It also turns on and off with the ignition just like it's supposed to, which gives me peace of mind that it's working correctly without draining the battery. This is hands-down the easiest and most OEM-looking way to power a dashcam. If you have a Toyota with a compatible mirror, don’t even think twice—get this adapter!

I only wish I had found this product a long time ago. It's very to install in a Gen-3 Tacoma and works perfectly.

Easy Install & Works Perfectly So Far - 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB
I almost ordered one of these for my previous truck but the reviews warning of blown fuses and CE codes after install made me hesitate. I really wanted to install a dashcam in my new truck so I finally ordered one to give it a shot.My truck is a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB with premium and tech. My dashcam is an older (2018) Aukey DR02 that takes a mini USB cable for power. I read that others were successfully using the mini Garmin cams, but figured my dashcam is pretty small and basic (no WiFi, no GPS, no rearview cam) so the power requirements would likely be similar.Install takes all of 5 minutes and everything you need is in the box. I wish Dongar disclosed in the listing that they include a 6 inch mini USB & a 6 inch micro USB cable because I ordered short cables separately. Either way, a nice add-on to include in the box.Install goes like this:1. Clean your windshield.2. Align and place the adhesive pad (or suction cup) for your dashcam behind the mirror.3. Unplug the 12-pin connector from the back of your mirror.4. Plug the Dongar adapter into your mirror where you just removed the OEM cable.5. Plug the OEM cable back into the 12-pin port on the Dongar adapter.6. Plug the USB cable into the Dongar adapter and into your dashcam.7. THEN start or power up accessory mode in your truck.I've checked the adapter's temperature after use (again, due to warnings in reviews here) and it's nice and cool as it should be. My guess is folks who had issues with it running hot or blowing fuses are using devices that draw a lot of power thus overloading the adapter. Everything so far works as described and it's a nice clean install with no wires hanging and no ports below permanently in use by the dashcam. As an alternative to a traditional hard-wire install, which some might not be comfortable or capable of doing, this little adapter is the way to go and a nice mod for under $35.

Easy install
Got it to run a Roav dash cam. Was plug and play, no issues at all. Just make sure you get the right one for your situation.

“Reliable Power, Minor Adhesive Issue”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Works Well, But Adhesive Could Be BetterThis dash cam power adapter does its job well—provides steady power and is easy to install. The cable length is great, and it keeps everything looking clean and organized. My only issue is that the adhesive started to wear off a bit after some time, so I had to reinforce it. Other than that, it’s a solid product and works as expected!

Some Camry models too, ...
As long as you Camry has the electrical auto dimming mirror with a direction indicator this will work, it was an optional feature so it will not work on all models by it works fine on my 2012 and 2016 since they both have this type of mirror installed. It is not designed to work with models where the plug is inside a casing (FitDVR is one model that work with those type of mirrors) instead of on the back where to place the box is not as obvious on a Camry. Also only get the if you do not want parking monitoring. This type of mirror is only supplied power when the car is running. If you live and work in a safe area this will work fine for you. I am using mine on a Viofo with the Starvis 2 sensor. It is significant upgrade from the older Sony sensor but that is for a different review, I just felt the need for context of application.Yes, the Camry uses 3 of the 12 pins, this adapter only connect 8 of the 12 but they include the 3 used on their auto dimming mirrors. Unplugging and plugging is easy. The type C connector fits tightly so I doubt it is ever falling out. I was not able to test the other three cable. All are fairly short to avoid a cable bundle behind the mirror.
