These are the difference between going deaf at 50 and going deaf at 30.
Sound quality is out of this world for the price, so much louder and clearer than anything at this price, using the lg v30 quad dac they sound as good as anything I've heard. Unfortunately the design is crap, looks like a cheap pair of headphones you'd get at a gas station in 2014, and they don't sit In the ear well either, using your finger to press them in a little further is a huge improvement to letting them just sit there, and the cord feels cheap. For the price I sort of get it, but I don't think you'll be able to find uglier cheaper looking headphones for over $10 anywhere. Sound is superb though.Update: 10 days old left bud blew out with regular use. Returning.

As of fan of Hifiman products, I was eager to try the ES100 earbuds. These were not a disappointment. However, being that they are earbuds, don't raise your expectations to high as they are limited by design to what they can do as opposed to full size cans. The sounds is full and clear, without any bloat and a nice sparkle but with a bit of sub bass roll-off. Expect to use a portable amp so these earbuds can deliver optimum performance..

Good Driver but Bad Design
These earphones could be very good but they need a little design tweek.If you press on the back a little, the sound improvement is 100%.I cannot believe that the people who make these have not worked that out yet.

"Classic yet sweeter!"
Got my hands with these from hifiman directly. The sound is super clear and detailed. It's surprising how much detail you missed all these years listening to earbud design like these. Build quality is good too. There's a bit of weight that you can say it's a serious earbud compared to your common classic earbuds. Sound stage is awesome! But you see problem with earbuds it tend to lose that impressive Bass that they are talking about. You have to push this thing deeper to your ear everytime you want to hear that thump bass. Overall it's still the best earbuds I've ever used like 25 years ago. Lol! Reminds me of that huge Sony waterproof portable sports tape player you hang on with your pants.
