Many light fixtures that use MR16 halogens exploit the fact that those lamps throw light backward as well as forward. The backward light is an important part of the design aesthetic, so replacing the MR16s with LEDs that throw light only forward is a bad compromise. The lamps here are the best compromise I've found, combining color temperature, luminosity, and compactness, and backlight.

I got a pack of these LED bulbs, deployed one and loved it; you can see my original 5-star review, posted Feb. 1, 2020, below. Sadly now, in April 2021, 15 months later, I join the ranks of the many reviewers here experiencing first flickering, and very quickly then substantial bulb failure, getting under 10% of the expected bulb life on this one bulb.However, the great news is that Sunaifa, the seller, just immediately sent me a whole, second, replacement pack of these bulbs AND refunded all my money, if you can believe it. Wow! Just the very best customer service! I’m a big believer that the really best customer service is that which isn’t needed - but if you need it, it doesn’t hardly get any better than this.I can’t continue to rate these bulbs 5 stars, since I’m not sure at this point about their longevity, can’t exactly recommend them. But they are very nifty bulbs while they last, and, again, the service is just fantastic. So now 4 stars.—— here below is my original 5-star review of these LED bulbs ———— from February 2020, 15 months ago ——Great bulbs, at least for me. Compared to the 12v, 50w halogen bulb that this LED replaced, this LED uses only 1/10th the power, but yields 10% more lumens (light output), runs comfortably warm instead of hellishly hot, and doesn’t threaten to explode if touched. And I haven’t seen any flickering. On the other hand, this LED is about twice the diameter and 5x the weight of the halogen bulb, in case that matters to you. An easy 5 stars from me.

Moved to this home in nearly 3 years ago. House and fixtures are from 2005. There are 6 pendant lamps matching those in another review on this page. Bulbs were 35w 12 volt halogen.Replacement with LEDs became imperative because the heat generated by the halogens was gradually deforming the metal contacts within the porcelain bulb sockets. Two of our 6 lamps already were intermittently going dead.Tried a variety of 12v LED bulbs from various sources. None of them filled the glass globes evenly while still directing enough light downward. These bulbs do.Thanks to Evan Sermos, Jr. for his review and photo!Compared to the native 35w halogens, these produce very slightly less illumination, not enough to notice unless comparing simultaneously. White balance is good, likely close to the claimed 3000K. CRI is fine, with good rendition of reds and of fruit colors. They dim smoothly from our wall switch without flicker.Since they do not produce intense heat the sockets are working properly.

If it wasn't for Cherry in customer service and her willingness to stand behind this product, it would have been two star instead of three. She sent me replacement packs twice when these bulbs kept burning out prematurely, but they never lasted. I loved the color and the brightness, but they only lasted anywhere from several weeks to a few months in a pendulum light over my kitchen sink (there is a glass cover surrounding the bulb). I do leave that bulb on nearly 24/7, but for comparison, the halogen bulb I bought these to replace lasted about two years. LEDs are supposed to last longer than that. I think they would have kept sending me replacements, which is great, but this bulb is time consuming to replace. I don't want to do that every couple of months. Once my replacement bulbs are all used up, I'm just going to try my luck with another brand.

They Fit, They're Bright, but they put an odd load our three-bulb12 Volt line. The three led replacement worked fine for a week or so, then the middle bulb stopped lighting up. We switched the led bulbs around and found that all were working fine, it was just that middle position socket that wouldn't fully come on. Switching back to the origianl 35 Watts GY6.35 T4 Halogen Light Bulbs, everything worked perfectly. I am guessing that the led internal electronics put an odd load on the line (?)

These 50 Watt equivalent LEDs are a perfect replacement for common light fixtures. I bought these to replace the troublesome GY6.35 halogen bulbs used in the pendant lights in my kitchen. The old halogen bulbs were notoriously difficult. They were fragile, expensive, and constantly burned out or stopped functioning. These new LEDs match the color, brightness, and overall appearance of the bulbs they replaced, and promise to last a long trouble-free life.Installation was as easy as I hoped, but one should consider that these LEDs may be a bit larger than the old bulbs they replace. This did not prove to be a concern in my case. There is also a diagram in the product info that shows the dimensions of the LED.

All 4 bulbs have unacceptable flickering. I’m not using a dimmer. Inside the package is an offer for a $10 refund if I leave a positive review, leading me to believe all these positive reviews may be fake. I’m ditching the bulbs and going back to halogen.

I managed to replace the old hot halogen bulb in my old but loved articulated floor lamps with some of these led's. I had to leave off the protective glass cover as these bulbs are bigger, but as they don't get hot this does not matter. Just as bright as the old halogen bulbs but pleasantly cool and should last for more than 10 years.Make sure that you have pin spacing, voltage and size right before ordering!

I bought these to replace traditional 50W halogens in a hanging light fixture. It is too bad they did not work out. The colour temperature and brightness were quite good. But they flickered. This was a straight switched circuit, no dimmer. The only thing that could have been an issue was the brick step down power supply that is part of the halogen fixture. I tried all the bulbs and they each behaved differently. One of them was quite good with occasional but noticeable flickers. The first one I tried cycled its brightness at about 4 Hz and never stopped. I returned these bulbs.

I replaced the 50W halogen lights in the pendants over the kitchen island with these LEDs. They aren’t quite as bright as the halogens but I’m happy with them. Of course I’m also happy that they use just a fraction of the energy used by the old halogens.

I wanted a bulb to replace the hydro sucking 50W halogen bulbs in our bedroom reading lights. These LED bulbs are the perfect brightness at 4000K. It is recommended to not have a daylight bright reading light as it will make it harder to go to sleep. I wish they had a 3000K bulb, but this one does the job well. The fixture has two setting of intensity high and low brightness but these LED bulbs are not effected by the switch. It is not a big deal breaker. I am very happy with the bulbs and the price was another big plus. ThanksPS Packaging was a nice surprise, Well done!

I got these to replace fiery hot halogens. They are much bigger than the previous halogen lights, so be careful of the size you need. They give a lovely light and are perfect in my fixture. Delivery was super fast.

Installed in Berenice.Tighter fit with lamp head profile than I had calculated.One lamp is fine for light.The other lamp has a different 12V transformer and the LEDs flucker on that lamp. Went back to halogen.I would really like to find a small profile, high lumen, COB LED around 4000k colour spectrum in this 12VvaC bi-pin spacing.
