The ABSITE Review

Arrives in plastic and great condition!

It's a great review book, not for fundemental knowledge though, you must have read the material elsewhere, this is just a nice thourough crash review book. I'll give more details once I acually take the test.

My most sincere admiration goes to Dr. Fiser. This is my third year of looking for the best material for the ABSITE. So far the Michigan Review is my favorite one, but now that I just finished reading "The ABSITE Review" I must say it's my #1. There were hardly any Mich. questions that I couldn't find answers for in this book.I am very impressed with Dr. Fiser's clarity of thoughts. He makes all subjects seem so easy through logical, straightforward explanations. No wonder he's now at one of the world's top fellowships...The bottom line is that I would recommend reading a textbook as you see cases all year round and about 2-3 months before the test focus on reading this gem over and over again.

this is an excellent concise review of high yeild information. although nothing is a subsitute for regular reading of a surgical text, this is as close as it comes if you are preparing for the absite. it will take a few years to determine this book's utility with the new absite format, but in the meantime this is one of the best that i have seen.

Good review book, has some mistakes so just be aware of them I like the format of the book it makes for a quick read. I expected more from the online version, it gives the impression that there's access to an audiobook but I was disappointed to find out that there's none. Otherwise this is a go to book for lots of Absite takers

My program director recommended this book, and I found it to be clear, concise, and comprehensive. Previously, I had used Rush, but I found that reading this book as I was answering Rush questions helped me to retain more information. My Absite scores improved considerably this year! This small book is well worth the $40 investment.

Full of errors, out of date evidence and practice, and some just plain wrong information. This bound edition of Fishers study notes was useful before the test rewrite in ~2015 or so, if only as a compendium of the recycled trivia-type questions that were sure to show up on the test, so using it as a content guide (you still had to go to other sources to get accurate information) to cram was clutch. This is no longer true after the test rewrite the test is refreshed more often, covers broader topics, and requires more critical thinking. So many other books have been put out now by thoughtful, up-to-date authors on this test that will prepare you better. The only thing this book has going for it is name recognition. The disrespect and crassness shown by this publisher putting out new editions with the same uncorrected mistakes and tired fuzzy mislabeled hackneyed illustrations years after year shows they don’t deserve our money. Either put in real effort and genuinely rewrite the book, or stop publishing this bloated dinosaur.
